Carmelo Anthony for Andrew Bynum

Heard on sports center that Lakers are considering on trading Bynum for Anthony, I think it would be a good to have Anthony on the Lakers. Bynum always been plauged with injuries and isnt very consistant.

i don't like it. The Lakers would give up too much on the defensive and rebounding side. Remember, in the finals whoever won the rebounding match won the game. Second and third chance opportunities are so important. Imagine going into Boston with Pau and Odom and Artest. Pau is finesse and can be soft, Artest just isn't locking people down like he did last year. With a Bynum in the line up it makes the Lakers very difficult to beat. Mello can score, but he doesn't play defense. Plus, remember Jackson is leaving next year...you'll need a coach that can deal with handling the Bryant/Anthony dynamics.

No thank you. We can get carmelo in FA if he wants to come over here. We have too many huge contracts and losing Bynum would destroy our defense. I'm glad these rumors are now playing with a sense of urgency. They're almost playing like the best team in the league.

^ i think he can opt out at the end of next season. anyway, its just a potential trade idea/rumor that's been floating around since people started talking about dealing bynum. IIRC, there was an espn article on it somewhere, but all i could find quickly searching was this: http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/41513953/ns/sports-nba/
