The links above only mention the coupe. I assume this isn't a problem for the 07 G35 sedan then?

New dates for recall

Nissan has announced that it will begin notifying Dealers on January 22nd of the issue, and shipping replacement lamps. They are putting all G35s on a sales hold pending verification of the headlights.

The important part of this information is that owners will be notified beginning on April 16th and taking as long as 4 months to complete the notification campaign.

INTERESTING....

I have the ULTINON bulbs in my 06 headlights (I have an 2003 G35c)..

Hmmmm.... if I do go through w/ this, I'm probably going to want to remove my bulbs--but I agree w/ a few people on here, my headlights seem rather bright.

Even though April is when they will be notifying 06/07 owners, I will be calling my dealer tomorrow to see if they heard about this.

Tony at Riverside Infiniti stated that for the people who bought their 06+ Projector headlights...we are out of luck since there is no warranty for parts purchased not originally on our cars.... so that means we have to buy new ones if we want the revised headlights...

Somebody needs to call Tony and tell him he's wrong, and tell him to read pg 18 of the Infiniti warranty booklet. It explicitly states that all genuine Nissan/Infiniti and Nismo S-Tune parts and accessories that were not purchased with the car are still covered by the warranty, as long as they were installed while the car was still covered under warranty.

The 06' Headlights, are a genuine Nissan Part, so the warranty booklet explicitly states that it's covered. Saying the car didn't come with it, is irrelevent, because it explicitly says it doesn't have to come with the car... Besides, which Infiniti comes with Nismo parts installed at the factory?

So, what EXCATLY is wrong with the 06 headlights? I think from reading this, the "gradient" means the cut-off line. So, from interpreting this, it sounds like it is too high and therefore can blind oncoming drivers. I'm sure if this was the case, Nissan would be more then willing to fix any headlights we purchased after-the-fact (as long as it was purchased legally) for fear of lawsuits. Also, if this is what is wrong with our headlights, I don't car either way then since it also seems only some cars/headlights are affected and won't make my headlights any brighter/dimmer.

Yep, very true. He has to warranty these headlights since it is a genuine Nissan parts and is under the car's warranty (as though they were on originally). A recall is a recall on the PRODUCT, not necessary the car (as long as it was made for the car). Parts for an 05 placed in an 03 and is a genuine Nissan part is still under warranty and if defective, will need to be fixed. They don't make one part for each year (for the most part), so it is under Warranty.
