For those who have done the recall....

Did you get to keep your custom lights, if applicable? ie. 194 bulbs, or d2s hid bulbs? or did they swap everything?
How long did it take? Were you able to get a loaner?
HOw does the beam or cutoff look compared to before?

I just got called up today for it. Will be doing this on Thursday. Anyone know if they change the plastic housing also? Or is it just the bulbs.

Please be kind and take a before / after. I just don't want the appearance to change unless its for the better.

I'm not sure how good these pics are but here's some I took. Without some kind of light meter, I don't know if the intensity is any different. Supposedly the bulbs are the same, just the focus is different.

The first two were taken Sunday evening of the original lights.

The second two were taken tonight with the new lights. They seem to be out of adjustment. I'll work on that later. The yellow image is probably just the camera.

The only thing I notice is the slightly inclined pattern on the left on the original ones. Hope that helps.

^^^^ It seems alittle less bright right in the middle... did you ask them exactly what the difference is between the lights?

I just had mine done and I honestly don't see the difference. I can tell they are new headlights because the haze/fog or whatever that was on my old headlights is gone. These are nice and clear. But when I was driving around last night, I couldn't tell any difference.

I got mine done and i'm supper pissed. I went through hell taking out the damn city lights on on my originals and when i took it there... they replaced the orange city lights back in. Now I have to go back there and take the damn lights out again!

What was the whole point of this recall by the way? Why would they make the light not as bright as before?

So, are you saying that the replacement headlights are not as bright as the original ones? Hmm...If that was the case, I wouldn't want them to replace my headlights (although, I have an 05 with 06 so they will give me a big stink about it).

For the hundredth time, the lights are no less bright than stock, the alignment of the cutoff was bad, which the new lights adjusted for.

To the ones that had the headlights changed, were you able to keep the original set?

Thanks for the answer jpark2479 I was asking HIM if it was dimmer or whatnot since he said it was. I read the same thing you all did in the TSB about the verticle gradiant so I'm sure there is no difference but who knows how they fixed things at Infiniti

I've had it done and I can say for sure that it is no dimmer, just the cutoff is wrong
