Angry Door lock problems.

Hi everyone, i own a 2004 G35 coupe 6MT and im having a problem with my driver door lock. I was leaving work and as i was walking towards my car i pressed my unlock button on my remote. the door was lock still, after a few atempts it still didnt open. however, i did open the door with my key but i knew something was not right. i pressed the swith to lock/unlock my doors and only passenger door would unlock/lock only, my driver side did not move at all. if i leave my driver side unlock, it will not lock, same goes as lock to unlock. from the inside i can only use my hand to unlock or to lock the door. has anyone had this problem besides me? any info is greatly appreciated

Kevin

The problem has been covered many times. It is your door lock actuator which is essentially the motor that locks and unlocks your doors. It is a common thing that goes out on our cars, I just had to replace both of mine on the driver and passenger sides. There is a DIY thread on here which presents a solution for $5 but requires you to remove your door panels and windows. I am not technically inclined so I had a shop do mine.

I have that problem (driver & passenger side) ONLY when it's too HOT out side (75 & up), so the inside is like 85 & up.

i had the same problem. but i have a viper alarm. car wouldnt unlock/lock. took it to a alarm shop to have it looked at. they said it was the wiring, that it was pulled out somewhat, and didnt have a good connection. they said it can happen when u open your door to wide, with too much force. AND/OR that the wiring was ran crappy.

I have the EXACT same problem happening to mine. I have an 03 coupe and I have to manually lock it before I get out and than unlock it with the remote and use the key to open the door. How embarrassing using the key!!! That is like soooo 90's!!
