I was driving and that light came on. any ideas on what i should do. is this just like a maintince light?

 

Dam dude the same thing just happened to me today. But for me i just turned the car on and out of nowhere the service engine soon light came on. I hope is nothing bad also. What year is your G?And how many miles on it? I have an 03 with 64,000mi stillen bolt ons.I did all required maintenance up to this point except changing the gear oil and radiator flush. How freeken weird man.

 

Go to autozone or whatever local automotive parts store you have, they should have a reader to tell you whats causing the codes.
