How does the UTEC compare to the haltech in terms of price and results?

Also, why does it sound like a waste? Has this sort of thing been attempted in the past?

Map= Manifold Pressure

UTEC and Haltech are similar but very different systems. Haltech is far better but the price is higher.

Yes this ecu has been out for a long time, Its during the "crappy" years for Nissan ecu's they really dont have any aftermarket support. The 04+ ECU's are the good ones.

The Haltech unit has a built in map sensor.

Just read all 15 pages, glad I found this thread....just learned that my 10/02 (03) g35 5at sedan has they early ecu & up rev won't do anything for it.
Just installed Long tubes, ypipe, coupe mid pipe, cai & plenum spacer & catback system is ordered, &.now I can't tune it with a reflash....:-(

Can I just switch a 04 full engine harness & ecu into my 03? Has anyone tried it?

the 2004.5+ use wideband O2 sensors, so you want to make sure its a 2003-2004 that is the normal ECU

What other differences are there between 2003.0 sedans and the non misfit Gs?

Transmission? Engine? Anything else I should know about before boosting?

I found this regarding the MAF. It looks like we cant swap easily. Maybe an adapter harness can be made. I am posting this here both for future reference for myself and for you guys as well.
