Is there an estimate for how much the ECU swap w/ osiris would cost just in the ready-to-be-tuned state, like the haltech.

Im sure there would be interest if it is proven to work. I am sure a lot of people have given up trying at this point and arent subscribed to this thread anymore.

SurraTT, did you make a post regarding your plug and play haltech system? I would like to bookmark it.

There is a thread for the Haltech PNP setup
https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...-interest.html

As for the ECU swap - nobody is sure if it will work. I have a 2006 wiring harness but we need a 2003-2004 w/ 2003-2004 ECU. the 2004.5 has the diff TCU and might have different connectors. I'm not sure about this but i would hate to waste the time and effort to find out. Most people are the same which is why it really has not been tried.

wow haha

For this ecu there are pretty much 2 options...

The PNP Haltech system

And I also make PNP UTEC Harnesses.

I'm the only one doing anything with tuning the early ecu. With the Haltech PNP interest thread dead it makes it hard to continue with this early ecu.

If you guys want to tune the early ecu then contact me.

I was messaging Johnnys Motorsports in Montreal regarding tuning the haltech, and he said that he has engineering software the he uses to crack stock ecus and decipher the hex and maps . He says it would cost $100 for him to check the bin and he might be able to tune the stock ECU.

Is this considered a ECU reflash?

Does this sound like a viable option?

Johnny had done multiple VQ35s in the past, he wanted to do uprev at first but then I explained our situation.

I would like to try it, but the 2+hour drive is deterring me from doing that.

They called me back and told me that they found that the MAF sensor was dirty. They cleaned it with brake cleaner... but I have read that isnt a great fluid to use on MAF sensors. They said they have driven it around the block 3 more times and it hasnt given any trouble

On a related note, in case this one is toast, are all the MAF sensors for this car interchangeable? There are 2 different form factors. I have 22680 AM600. The more common one is 22680 CA000. If I got the CA000, including the tube that the MAF sensor goes into, would it be plug and play?

That sounds like a 2hr drive and $100 waste.

Also regarding your other post if you run a Haltech you can tune via MAP sensor.

Do you mean the MAF sensor? Im new to all this so I wouldnt know if MAP is an acronym for another sensor lol

How does the UTEC compare to the haltech in terms of price and results?

Also, why does it sound like a waste? Has this sort of thing been attempted in the past?
