How about this,

In the near future what would you be willing to charge if I flew you down to MIami, FL paid for your hotel stay and we can take the car to the dyno and do everything there.

But I will have a list of things that I'd like to do.,..... I can be the g.pig .... We can do HONEST before and after passes and have everything documented for the integrity of this site.

Who knows, perhaps you have cracked a major breakthrough !!
I'd be much easier if the car was locally here in San Diego but possibly in the future we may be able to work something out.

While the forum rules do require a vendor account for anyone that's making a business out of selling things (product or services) on the forum, we're also very interested in cultivating the sort of DIY / garage engineered spirit.

If nosajton starts offering tuning commercially for a fee, then he'll need a vendor account or to partner up with an existing vendor.

But it doesn't look like we're at that point quite yet, and certainly nobody is getting banned.

Even in instances where a user continues to provide commercial services or products without meeting vendor requirements, they're given ample warning before any major action.

As for this exact instance (this thread specifically) I'm keeping "cautiously optimistic" even though recent information does seem both 'out-of-the-blue' and a little hard to believe.
But I know the technical understanding of several people in this forum (and specifically people subscribed to this thread) will quickly determine the difference between breakthrough and scam.
Sorry for the late response, I was out with family for labor day. But yeah this has been a project I've been working on for quite some time and the hardest part was breaking the bootloader to allow you to flash and that has been done now.. Actually two different ways to flash these ecu's.

Someday I hope I could be a vendor but right now its just not feasable as I am making no cash from this and it is still in beta stage, I can read, modify, change checksums and write back to ecu so it is a work in progress. I am testing this on my personal 03 g35 Sedan and a few friends cars, nothing commercial yet unless you consider a jamba juice commercial

Not sure if anybody is still subscribed to this, but I ordered Osiris a week ago and then came across and read this whole thread after getting this email from uprev today...

Adam. the ecu part# you gave us is not currently supported. Can you run the Osiris installer and double check your ecu part# with Cipher? If it is am604 we will need a ecu dump to add support. It can take up to two weeks for support to be added. Ecu dump instructions are in the Osiris user guide. Fill out the rom dump form, if you are doing a ecu dump.

I have production date of 03/03 but am604. I haven't actually looked to see if I have gray or black yet but they say they are going to add support? Could it be real

Where's the ECU located? I have the AM604 and if UpRev support it I’m buying it.

Does Hypertech support the AM604?

I will be honest I'm new to g world but what I'm not new too is building motors and tuning. It would seem that you all are miss understanding the basics of a standalone. A engine management system does just that runs the engine as a standalone from the factory computer. A ems' is not there to turn your headlights on and off or make sure your windows go up and down its in the car to provide you with a way to tune your motor so you can pull the most out of it. The only reason most of the older cars can completely replace the stock ecu is because the ecu had nothing to do with the interior function of the car they are all run off modules or simple power and ground. Motec is about the only company that comes to mind when to start talking about total vehicle control but it's not plug and play and will cost you every bit of what your asking for. The only other way would be a modified maps on the stock ecu but that will still only get you so far I don't know to many stock ecu's....modified or not that have the capability to track or change all the functions a ems provides. Bottom line is...so what if the stock ecu controls the interior and basic functions, what's more important is that you a fine tuned motor that can lay down real power and you don't need to buy an extra attachment every time you want to add a little more power or search through a ton of wires when you can figure out why your windows stop working.

The ECU doesn't control everything on the G, it's more componentized. Though the ECU does do more than just the engine, at least it's not as bad as some cars

Also, this thread isn't about a standalone controlling everything so much as tuning capabilities and options for a very specific set of G35s.

Just need some direction as far as the equipment needed!

Update

So, I sent Osiris an ecu dump on October 8...and finally sent this today- after sending a couple emails in between....

"How's it going? I sent the ecu dump on Oct. 8....as I am barely driving the car due to the weather near Chicago this time of year I am not in any real hurry. If you are adding support for my year that is great and I'm happy to wait - if not though then a refund would be nice so I can explore other options. "

....and I received this reply

"It should be released later this afternoon. It is in the final stages of testing."

BTW I did check and I have a silver ecu so it should be looking good for alot of people!!
