04 5AT Coupe Osiris Tune

2004 5AT Coupe

Baseline w/ Exoticspeed R1-T w/o Y-Pipe, R2C intake: 224whp 209 tq.

After Exoticspeed Y-Pipe, MD Iso Thermal Spacer, and Tune: 244whp, 236 tq.

Tuned with Osiris at CIN Motorsports. Ben tried more aggressive timing, but the stock cats couldn't keep up.

Yeah you'll really notice it, especially on an 03. The tune got progressively better with each generation, but there's a LOT of room for improvement on the early ones. Where are you located in WA?

I'm in Seattle. I will be getting the tune done at Intec Racing in Kent. Anything else you would suggest before I get tuning? Or would Intake, exhaust, and plenum be sufficient? Also, do you know of any cat clubs in my area?

Unless you want to drop the big money on a full cat-back you're pretty much set once you get the kinetix manifold. Good choice BTW. I would recommend changing your spark plugs before you go in for the tune, or have the guys at Intec do it if you don't want to do it yourself.
NGK LFR6AIX plugs are the best bang for the buck IMO, one step colder than stock, makes a difference if you're getting tuned.
Its not the cheapest but Lawrence is a good tuner, you'll be happy with the results

Bigworm- I had my whole FI drama play out with the boys at intec and to say you're lucky to be close to them would be saying very little. Get over there, talk to them about your goals and I have every confidence they will steer you in the right direction. I walked in there not knowing anything at all yet I was still treated really well and not looked down on or dismissed because of my limited knowledge. Race shops can be downright snooty with guys like me and I was relieved to find all of them very accommodating. The shop was open late just about every time I was there and guys were There tinkering until the wee hours. It's a shop full of guys who love cars.

Lawrence (not to be confused with Lawrence from strafe) is something of a legend around there and played a big part in getting my car back on the road after my issues happened. He is an Osiris pro tuner so though the license / tune / Dyno may not be cheap it will be a solid investment into performance. He also was very aware of how to work through the AT side of things-

Anyway I'm up in Vancouver so I'm not far away per se but read my thread over in the FI section to see why I'm skittish about going over the border lol- I think it happens around page 40. I might sound like I'm advertising for the shop and to be blunt about it I suppose I am. They took good care of me and my car through my ordeal.

Look them up- give them a call and head over for a chat and see for yourself. (edit: looks like you're already aware of intec! Whoops missed that part ... Anyway it took me too long to type all that on my iPhone to delete it!! Lol)
