I know you don't speak for them and have nothing to do with it, but that's just bulls**t to me.

I'm tired of purchasing software with "xx" content/features, using said content/features, only to have a portions of content you paid for and used, removed, limited or blocked in an instant, after a "update".

Being a while ago, their user manual doesn't even reflect the change. Still has screenshots and instructions that reflects what I originally purchased.

I guess that's what user agreements are for...(you can't do anything, unless you agree to the terms that we have the right to do anything).

Sorry for the rant, but it's getting old.

Can I restore one of my laptops to before the recent update and have CIPHER back and never just update it, or would the cable firmware inhibit that?

The new features won't work with the old software.. got to be up to date. We did lose a few features when Cipher was discontinued but the new software is a big improvement.

I have asked many, many times for them to update the user guide. I don't think its been touched since the software first came out many many years ago

Pretty good gains with the UPREV tune via Jotech. Should I expect an improvement in freeway mileage with the better torque curve? Typical freeway speeds here (70-80 limits) have me between 2500-3000 on road trips. Currently averaging around 26.5.

Can you use uprev to dectivate the weight sensors when you install racing seats? I am not having luck with the resistor in the harness fix.

That clears out all the stored memory and you'll be starting fresh.
I kept obtaining them 1283s too, off my TORQUE cellular phone application. Which exact O2 sensors i should be checking on? Upper or lower part of my RPM long tube headers? Thanks

Mine got better. Got 29.4 mpg on one stretch from Deming, NM to Surprise, AZ back in March. I'd been getting around 25 on trips before, now 26-29. This last trip was 25 mpg but I had 2 others with me in the car, luggage for 3 and a/c the whole time.

What does the "Alternate Cruise Mode" under toggles do? Seems like a fairly new addition and didn't notice it in the user manual.

that's only on some roms, for aftermarket cruise install. Like adding cruise control to a vehicle that didn't come with it factory.

Okay, was tinkering around with cam phase settings and noticed it. Uprev is now showing a steering switch DTC, but not my normal scanner. Also constantly shows an ABS U1000 code, but who knows.

Haven't had a chance to go for a drive yet to make sure cruise still works. Will update this post later.

Edit: false alarm, cruise works like normal.

Finally got a tune again from Seymore. Excited to see how this pairs with that new exhaust.

Sorry, OP, this is a bit off topic, but, Scott, wtf were you doing in Deming NM? Lol I thought I was the only person who had ever heard of that place. Stayed at a very "Bates-esque" motel there one time in '01. Slept with a .38 snub nose on the nightstand.
