You are not correct. EcuTek is another popular option.
Ecutek only supports 2009 and newer 370/ G37's. For the older G35/350z's UPREV is pretty much the only game in town unless you want to break the bank and go full on fast n furious
i got a question for ya... been trying to diagnose this issue on my 2003 Greddy Twin turbo g35 for a few months now. I ended up ordering my own cable and i'm able to duplicate the problem if i attempt to reflash the ecu with the current rom for the tune i'm running now. Car has been turbo charged since before uprev was even a thing, it was running a turbo xs piggy back that the previous owner had removed and then flashed with uprev instead. Can't seem to get a straight answer if they originally bench flashed the car when they switched to uprev or not. As of now nothing can be done through the OB2 port which is a pain for a car we are planning really making several changes to and retune.
Pin was already relocated. And if this is also an indicator... previous owner did swap the radio which is using a after market radio dash kit. I wasn't sure if that could interfere since the obd2 harness runs through the radio between the ECU and ob2 port.
Another thought is if my ECU is just bricked, and i need to look at getting another one to flash too.
My guess is something funky with the wiring. The ECU is NOT bricked; if it was the software would not detect it and your car would not run.
I'm wondering if maybe the Pin from where it was relocated isn't seated properly or isn't making good contact. Know of any tricks or remedies for that?
There is a limiter on the electronic throttle from the factory, the first thing we do in the tune is fix that. Makes the car much more responsive and peppy.
