stock G35 coupe
Fairly new to the G scene, purchased an '04 G35 coupe A/T early 2017 ended up giving it to my nephew to drive for about 10 months or so and just got it back almost 4 months ago for good and now in the midst of a complete overhaul. From what I can comprehend from reading, if I got FI, Uprev is of no use? But, if i decided not to go FI and just do other mods like full exhaust, plenum mod (or complete intake manifold upgrade) and things of that nature Uprev is the way to go in regards to tuning the car properly? I really am leaning toward building the engine for FI, but I am afraid that when i start putting a build sheet together with a parts list I may not what to dump that kind of cash in to the build and may go a different route. I really want to do as much work on the car myself if at all possible, but there are a few areas that I know i will have to pay someone to do some of the work due to not having all necessary shop equipment to do everything from A-Z. If you would like to PM me some information rather than reply here I understand. Thanks

There are no issues tuning FI with Uprev. That vast majority of them are tuned with Uprev.

Thank you for your reply.

So, do you recommend ordering just the standard UpRev for doing tuning with just bolt on mods? If you prefer I pm you with any additional questions I may have in regards to the UpRev to make sure when I order I get the correct components? Thanks

I'll PM you. As long as you have just bolt on mods and are staying NA the standard kit is just fine. There is no etune support for FI so at that point you would need either the DIY tuner version, or to go to a shop and get it dyno tuned.

Is there a walkthrough of all the changes Uprev recently made? Software updated, as well as the G35 map files. Could try to import old map, but the main thing I noticed is the timing maps are all over the place now.

Under timing there's 3 new maps, under the old map slots it just says they're disabled (why even show those then?), and there's new "simplified timing" maps under ARC features.

I've just been making minor tweaks, learning how to do stuff, now feel like I need to learn all over again, lol.

I really just need to disable these auto updates since there's no easy way to revert a version or two back when they make major changes like this.

Unfortunately no, but they are supposed to be working on a new comprehensive user guide to be released soon

Where in Oregon are you located?

Unless you can get an unlocked copy of the tune from the guy who went out of business you're going to have to retune from scratch to add the ARC features.. you can either do it in person or etune.

Not sure if this thread is dead or not, but looking for some tuning options!

04 G35 Coupe 6MT
motordyne plenum spacer
JWT intake
unorthodox underdrive pulleys
stillen catback, HFC's and Crawford Headers
JWT Stage 2 & LW flywheel

My plan is to borrow a friends Osiris cable, purchase the reflash license directly from UpRev along with the ARC license.

I have found a couple people in Socal, but honestly just worries me not hearing of any options from people I know or any viable recommendations.
Live in Mid-Missouri, looking for e-tuning/ datalogging etc.

Let me know if I'm on the right track or if you have any recommendations for me!
