I can't wait to read your review!

Is it by any chance going to be one of those "My morning..." series?

I'd participate in a group buy for sure and more than likely if a group buy wasn't offered, I'd still get one anyway too.

The goal, most likely, is to offer one module that will process the OK button and allow programming while moving. It will include everything you need to make these features work, as well as installation instructions. The MSRP is going to be $99.99 plus shipping, with a group buy price of somewhere in the neighborhood of $85.99 plus shipping.

I'm interested

Anyone close to Birmingham...(or willing to drive to B'ham). I can offer my assistance in installing this in your car.

(I installed it in my car)

I agree, I've had it for a week and it's been great, no issues during install. It required having the right tools which are wire cutters, wire strippers, very sharp razor, philips screw driver, needle nose plyers, soldering iron with solder & electrical tape.

The key here is that it requires serious patience and care, if you approach it like a gorilla and try and "rig" it with the wrong tools you will be in a really bad regrettable situation. it's probably a total of 30 minutes of work if you know what you are doing, I was comfortable but I really took my time and triple checked before making any move. I took 3 hours to make sure I did it right and everything was nice. So plan accordingly. Don't be scared, just really plan on do it right.

Oh and if anyone is daring enough, while you have the nav unit out of the car, feel free to image the hard drive! I know we have a few people who would love to get their hands on that, and then we might see some really cool stuff happen with OS patches.

Kevin, thanks again for working on this module.

Put mine in today after work. Very easy to install (if you have ever put in a stereo you will be fine). Have to drive up to Glendale tomorrow so I will get some good seat time to test it out.

Yes, I too would be interested. Not sure if I want to tackle my own install, but anything to make an already fun time driving even better is for me.

The people who have them now are testing them for us. We will update our installation manual and possibly tweek the system a bit based off of their feedback.

I installed mine today with a little support from Kevin to de-bug an installation problem. I had everything in and it didn't work. Turned out one of my solder joints popped loose . Everything appears to be working fine now. I'll post again after I get used to it over the next few days.

On a positive note ... I pulled my navi out so many times I think I can get it out in about 3 minutes!

Yeah, practice makes perfect. I installed one yesterday in about 45 minutes! It all comes apart pretty easy once you know how to do it.
