Only thing that doesn't make sense to me is that the Tanabe's (on other member's rides) have a sagged rear end while yours seems to sit level.

Did you use boosters/isolators???
Thanks... I appreciate the good words.

I know, it's confusing me too. I keep expecting the rear to settle more, but it hasn't. I even made a bunch of sales calls this week with a heavy catalog case in the trunk and a rear passenger, but it seems to be holding petty even in the rear. I think the other person must have the other Tanabe springs. The NF210's that I have are very new, but Tanabe also has a sport version, DF210's I think, that lowers the car 1.5" in the rear, so I'm wondering if that's what he has?

What's funny is Tanabe lists these same NF210 springs for the G37 coupe, but they claim only a .70" drop in the rear and the same 1" drop in the front. According to Eibach, if you use sedan springs in a coupe, then the drop will be the same in the front, but about .20" less in the rear, so if this is correct, then this would mean that these Tanabe's should really only drop the rear about .90" (and 1" in the front), which is pretty close (within .10 - .15") to what I'm seeing.

Nope, no boosters or isolators yet... just the springs with the factory rubber isolators. I actually ordered some 3/8" thick spring isolators from Energy Suspension to use on the top of the spring along with the factory isolators in the rear, but I haven't received them yet. Now I'm wondering if I'll actually need them or not.

Hehe.. Don't know what to tell you, Daniel, except that you might want to find some guys around you that have both types of springs so you can take a ride in their cars first. Like I said before, I'm not sure yet if I like the progressive spring rates on these... love the drop, but not sure about the ride... and to me, the ride is more important.

I hear you about progressive spring rates; I've never been a fan.

I am totally confused though
Did Tanabe change the design specs or something????

Other guys have installed these & got a real saggy a$$ stance.

I want this stance right here!!!!!
I've actually never had progressive springs on a car before. All other springs and coil-overs I've used in the past had linear spring rates... so, I'm hoping that I'm jus not used to them and I will grow to like them. Oh well, after driving Travis' car the other day, I'm eventually planning to get a set of TEIN coil-overs once they become available, so these springs are just temporary.

I'm as confused as you about the drop... not sure if Tanabe posted incorrect numbers, or maybe the took the measurements off a standard Journey package car and not one with the sport suspension... Or maybe mine will settle in more, but somehow I doubt it will drop another 1/2" in the rear, when the drop's stayed pretty close to the same as when I originally installed the springs.

Thanks, man... I'm REALLY happy with the stance.. makes the wheels with the 20 mm spacers look almost perfectly flush.

Quick question, would the 20mm spacers make the wheels look like they were 10.5 inches wide (like mine)?

Spacers basically change the offset of the wheel to push them outwards more and fill up the wheel-wells, but looking from the side of the car they can definitely give the illusion of the wheels being wider... well, until you look at the car from the rear, especially if it was parked next to a car with 10.5" wide wheels with 275 tires on it, like BLUESLATE's. LOL

Try hitting the stepper machine, Clement... I've heard that can really help a sagging azz.

I want Impuls, but I'm starting to think more and more about the Eibachs.
I can go with these... I know I'll end up with too much front gap and too little in the rear.
It's just my luck.

I want the TEIN coilovers after driving Travis' car... His car rides better than mine, handles better, and is fully adjustable... can't beat that!

I'm just hoping now w/the new AWD coupes, there will be more demand for AWD CO's and we can get them going.

2GoRNot2G:

For those looking to get your identical springs and stance, can you post the exact model number of NF210s you installed. (Maybe you did already i don't know).

Not sure about the front, but for the rear, based on my measurements, you would probably want to use the Energy Suspension Style A spring isolators on the top of the rear springs. I was looking at either the 9.6101's for a 3/8" lift, or the 9.6120's for a 5/8" lift... but it doesn't look like I will need either of them now.

I have the Tanabe NF210's, part # TNF130. These will work on both the 2007+ sedan and 2008+ G37 coupe according to Tanabe.
