370Z springs experiment

It will be very interesting to see the amount of drop with the OEM 370Z springs.

They may be stiffer on a Z, but close to normal for us.

e.g. if the rate is 600lbs
- a 600lb spring on a Z will be stiffer than a 600lb spring on a G;
because of the weight difference.

I'm still trying to line up a place to do rate testing.

I really hope that it will be stiffer than our springs. Cuz if it isnt, I dont think I would spend the dough just for a mild drop. I need performance out of it as well.

Cant wait for results!!

thats it? :S lol I didnt think it would be that cheap.

I guess maybe the other place I will incur the price is on installation. I was able to find an infiniti tech to do it for me for 200 bucks.

Yeah, I picked them up used from a tuner thats develpoing a CO for the new Z.
These are off of the test car they bought.

Install cost wusat?.... DIY FTW

Nice... Can't wait to find out the results, Ian. I've got a lead on a set of 370Z Sport springs, as well, but haven't decided if I want to swap out the springs a 3rd time to try another set. I've already tried the Tanabe NF210's and am about to try a set of Eibach's off a G37 Coupe that I picked up for $120. If the fronts were as easy as the rears, then I'd have no problems trying everytype of spring on the market. LOL

Maybe I'll just wait to see what you find out before doing anything... let someone else be the guinea pig for once.
