OK guys....
see post #49 for the drop

These springs have 1500 miles on them so there won't be an additional settling.
I took her out for a 50km test & it feels great.
The front springs are a tad firmer, but TBH it is a very slight change.
IMO this is great, otherwise it would have been a problem running the OE rears.

With a little taken out of the rear perches it should balance out nicely.

^ That's one of them, if you have to add a little height for springs that are too low.
You can't add much more than 1/4" though.

The other one is to cut the rubber spring mout to drop it a bit w/o changing springs.
This is the one I'll be doing.

^^^Excellent Ian I see what you mean. Actually it looks pretty simple and straightforward.

That drop does look good.

hey that looks awesome! very nice.

Ian do you know how much these springs will run me at the dealer?

Also, from a driving dynamics stand point and considering that I am an X, will I have any issues say if I only to decide to change the front springs and keep the rears OEM?

Im assuming I will still need an alignment done on the front but I can probably get away without a front camber kit since the drop seems fairly small?

Also, I think I will be more comfy just putting a rubber isolator rather than cutting up the rubber mounts (If the rears will be changed that is).

What are the pros and cons associated with the two different styles?

hey intgr8tr - so are you just going to leave it with the 370z fronts and the oem g35 rears?
Can you feel that the front has been lowered? Is is safe or ok to just lower the front?

Man now i want this! AHHH it never ends!

Wes if new X's are like the old ones, the spring will drop the car alittle bit more since the X is heavier than the rwd. I say if you can find some g37S or non sport and use those in the rear. It might even it out some. Hey it worked for the first gen, dont see why it wont for the second gen.

If this works out, I don't think my first stop would be the dealer.
I'll be trolling the 370 forum looking for people who have dropped onto different springs.
I'll buy their "close to new" springs for a discounted price if possible.

Awesome job Ian! looks good!

This drop is ideal for someone just wanting to eliminate a bit of the wheel gap for a more level stance. Cutting the rear perches would finish it off nicely!
