This shudder seems like a characteristic of the 07-08G35X only. Did anybody actually have serious issue or this is just annoying at some point?

My 07x is doing it too. It's a little annoying. Every day to work I drive on a new, level, smooth road, at exactly 40mph and I can feel the car as it mildly pulses. I won't call it judder as not to confuse it with the braking issue. It's not anywhere close to the feeling the brake judder issue creates.
It must be the front differential.

i would be leaning more towards the differential too, but- my car seems to act up more in regular D than in MM when I can control when and where to shift. When the car is shuddering and i put it in MM mode it is always in 5th gear when it shouldnt be- which seems to mimic a standard in too high of a gear.

Does any of you guys have tune where you can change the shift points? Maybe that would help. Since I too feel it is should be at 4th gear and we would be fine.

It seems that "DS" changes the shift points a bit vs "D", but it doesn't help with the shudder. It definitely doesn’t do it in 5th gear under "M", so the TC seems to make sense - not to mention that someone mentioned having an 05 Altima doing the same thing earlier in the thread.

Here's an interesting question, has anyone ever had the car buck/shudder while letting go of the brake from a stop on an incline?

I know i've mentioned this happening to me before, but today it the car behind me probably thought i was gonna stall or explode!
The car was bucking so hard, and all i did was just let go of the brake, WTF?!?!

I didn't tap the gas to help the car forward, i actually made it suffer through this, hoping that this event would at least throw a CEL or something!! I wouldn't even care if the part resposible just breaks & my car stalls - if that's what's requierd for the dealer to fix this problem!!

It think it'd be just fine in 5th, as long the TC wouldn't lock-up!
This is what essentialy happens when you're in 5th gear under "M"

lol, it seems that by the time we have any actual dagmage occur, the entire tranny, as well the transfer case will have to be replaced! New drivetrain FTW!!

Just bought an 07 G35x with 32k miles last week and just noticed this issue one day driving up a hill... at first I thought it was my bass pumping so i turned it off, then i thought it was the roads but they just resurfaced this road and it is smoother than my gf's waxed legs.

I'm pretty sad to read all these posts and no real solution has been found =/. I'm going to call Infiniti tomorrow and get something scheduled....

How do you guys get them to do any of the many things you guys mentioned? Like ECU flash, all those TSB and TC and Value something :@ and which one would you recommend I do first?

I don't know if this will help. So I had the same shutter on a 2007 g35s. Everything was stock except for the stillen gen 2 intake. After the car sat for 3/4 months (loss of drivers licence), an unexpected shudder came into effect. It would shudder while parked or stopped at a red light. I cleaned TB but shudder still there.

So I went to get the car serviced, replaced all fluids and got the ecu reflashed. On the drive home after the dealers there was still a shudder. I called the tech and he said something about the intakes might be causing it, so instead of removing the intakes I just got rid of the plastic stillen housing around the filters and surprise no more shudder.

It has only been three days. But I'll update again in a few weeks.

I filed my complaint with the BBB on Friday, I received a call from Nissan's corporate office first thing this morning offering to send a tech to the area to resolve this issues as quickly as possible. I think i might be getting under their skin a bit, wait til my attorney grabs ahold of this file

Sweet! I can only hope that nissan may actually investigate this issue, Thanks to stevetec!
If you get to talk to the tech, forward him the link to this thread - let him know that there are cases in almost every state.

Maybe if more people start comlaining. Any of you at the States should go and comlain at BBB. That should get Nissan going.

Rdeol your issue is different. Your car doing things when you stand still. This is when you drive at 40ish. Only the X has this issue.

if all of you are unhappy with the service you have been given and your car is under warranty, i would strongly urge you to go to bbb.org and file a complaing against the dealership. It is their responsibility to abide by a warranty claim and if they can not fulfill that request, and are unable to resolve the issue, you can bring the matter to arbitration. That's about where I am at now but I was blown away that after two days i received a call from Nissan's Arbitration department trying to resolve the issue as quickly/quietly as possible.

File complaints with the BBB and Nissan will want nothing more than to resolve your issue. We might even be able to have a service bulletin issued if we can flood them with enough complaints for our models.
