Oh I see what you mean. Those clips are a pain to remove lol, but you can do without removing them. Just pull back the rubber as far as you can until you can stick your wrench in there. If you want to remove those clips for easier access then make sure you keep a bunch of these with you since they break every time you take them off. I can't seem to find the clips online so you might wanna call riverside infiniti and ask them about it or go to your dealer.

Great write up! Thanks for it as this will be my first time taking the bumper off my V36.

Did you get it out in the end? I seem to be having the same problem.

Great write-up. Thanks! I swapped my headlights today and it was way, way easier to remove the bumper than I expected it to be. Now I feel like a fool for putting it off for so long.

FYI the 03/04 sedans do not have the bolts in the last illustration (the ones under the rubber trim in the engine bay). Just the ten bolts on the bottom and the two around each side marker light, and the six fender clips that attach the bumper/grill to the radiator cover.

Also FYI those two-piece black plastic rivets are called "trim clip fasteners". Do a search on eBay for "Nissan trim clip" and you can get a bag of 50 of them for like $3 incl shipping. They break all the time so it's handy to have a few spares if you're the OCD type.

FYI your local Infaniti dealer will sell them for $0.25 apiece.

There are a total of 16 bolts and 6 plastic clips holding the bumper.
You don't need to remove or loosen the radiator cover.

There are 10 bolts on the bottom (Marked A) that you will need to remove.

Note: If your car is slammed, you may need to lift the car using ramps or jack and jack stands to access these bolts. Use caution when lifting the car and never work under a car that is only supported by a jack.

Then there are 6 clips holding the bumper to the radiator cover. remove those with a flat head screwdriver.

Attachment 240395

Turn the steering wheel to either side and remove 1 plastic clip on the wheel well lining to access the bolts inside. Once you pull back the lining you will need to use a long extension to remove two 10mm bolts. Do the same for both sides (Marked A)

Attachment 240396

Once that is done, there are 2 more bolts holding the bumper, 1 on each side.
you will need to pull up the rubber seal on the side of the engine bay to access a 10mm bolt as shown below. You will need to use an extension here too. the first pic shows the location of the bolt behind the rubber seal. you don't need to remove the seal, just pull it back until you can stick your wrench in there. Do the same for both sides. (Marked 1)

Attachment 240398

Take extra care when pulling the bumper out to prevent scratches.

If your car has front parking sensors, pull the bumper out only SLIGHTLY. Just enough so you can access the sensors (4) and unplug them before you remove the bumper completely.

How come the FSM for 06 coupe did not mentioned any bolt on the top like you illustrated in your last two diagram? also my engine bay do not have any rubber seal that needs to be lifted in order to access those. Are the G35 different in Kuwait?

Those who have an 06 coupe that have removed the front bumper before, can you confirm? advance thanks.

Hell My front end got smashed (front cover off, fender liner needs replacement, and all hardware)

I see many different names, types of clips, etc to reattach my front bumper cover.

Can someone please address a SIZE to these clips? Making it hard to buy the right one.

I am using the reco: https://www.ebay.com/itm/50Pcs-8mm-P...Cclp%3A2334524

But not sure? I see kits, but they don't seem to have enough clips. Very confusing to this stoner I tell ya! Like this kit doesnt have enough clips? "https://www.z1motorsports.com/front-...EaAu6jEALw_wcB"

etc. Thank you for the help.

Yup 8mm is the correct size. I got like a pack of 100 for 5 bucks off ebay. Autozone sells 3 pieces for 4 bucks...what a joke!
