New Stillen Dual intake for 07 350Z

Anyone who want an intake for 07 G35 sedan might want to look into this. I saw this on sell at www.stillen.com for the 07 350Z so I though maybe it might fit the 07 G35 sedan since they have the same motor 306 hp w/dual intakes set up. So anyone that want more perfomance for their 07 G35 sedan might want to look at this. It might fit or might not fit just take a look at it.

$399?

Gotta actually put in the make/model to see the price for the intake.

I don't see the point. I'm sure they will sound nice, but I can't see how these airboxes will create power.

Sharif@ForgedPerformance dyno'd an 07 Z. When he removed the air filter media(ZERO obstruction), the car gained no power anywhere in the rev range.

Jeremy(AudibleMayhem) tried the same thing on another 07 Z, this time on a dynojet, and observed the same results. Thread is here: http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=270938

i guess we'll have to wait and see... i asked them (stillen) for dyno sheets on both the exhaust that's already out for our g and the intake when they finish it.

stillen said it wouldn't work for the 07 sedan, at least based on their make and model search for that mod.

I think for this type of mod it will be strickly for cosmetics and sound...i am going to get the system just for the sake of having a more agressive sound and look...im not expecting any hp gains from it.

But when the headers come out that will be a different story

If it did not give me any gains I would not blow $400 on it!

the new G comes with equal-length headers already. you can't really improve on that, again other than looks (but who can see headers), and weight savings.

these are highly tuned motors from the factory...

The stock manifolds are pretty nice...for stock. The inner diameter is tiny, just like the first gen manifolds. Also, the inner diameter is even smaller than it first appears because of the sound proofing material inside the manifolds, which would not be included in aftermarket headers.

My point is that I think there's still an aftermarket for headers. BUT - I doubt that the gains would be worth the labor to install them.
