New Resonators?
Hey guys,
After installing HFCs, I find that on acceleration there seems to be a rattle or some sort only under load, After some detective work it doens't seem to be coming from the cats, but from the back, so I'm guessing that the stock resonators can't deal with the increased flow, anyone know if you can get high performance resonators or some better resonators for the exhaust? Thanks in advance!

You would need 2 12615's....

Did anyone try a true dual exhaust with H pipe and no resonator at all? I mean just the HFC and H pipe and then straight pipe all the way to the muffler. If yes, please share with us the sound clip.

Thanks guys, I'll look into these a little later. I know there are videos of people who just cut out the resonators, and honestly i think that sounds really bad, so i don't think increasing flow with with HFCs and a H pipe would make it sound nicer, I don't know you can try it!

Wait I did more research on Resonators, apparently they are designed to reflect certain sound waves that the engine makes and then bounce them off to cancel out other sound waves. So I Can i just stick a different resonator on? From Physics I know that if it's not not I'll just be getting a bunch of even more unwanted noise!
A resonator is nothing more than a tubular muffler that is designed to knock out a lot of the unwanted frequencies out of the the exhaust system. I actually used this same exact one, only in 3" on my eclipse GSX years ago to get rid of the incesent droning I had on the highway.... It worked perfectly for the intended job.

From what I noticed there seems to be a heat shield so when you look from the engine bay you can't see the headers. but if it was the headers hitting those heat shields everyone should have the rattle with stock setup.
