RPi Intake Scoops and Exhaust

I don't know if you guys are familiar with the company RPi (Race Precision Inc), but they are a huge company when it comes to performance for BMWs. Well i was talking to Eloy (runs R&D dept) and he told me that they could make intake scoops for our cars and a full exhaust system.

The intake scoops have shown an 8-15whp gain with 70mph airflow on most of the cars they have tested. And that is with everything else stock. They run fairly cheap too. For our cars they should be less than $120.

They also have really good exhaust systems. Eloy told me that it would cost around 2 grand but he said that it would put down serious power. They made an exhaust for the M3 that puts down 35ft/lbs and 28whp.... and they have a dyno to prove it too.

Is anyone interested in any of these products?

I put up the pictures of the dyno and pictures of the intake scoops.

show a post on this before and i think the end result was that the G's intake passage was dubbed as being "As good as it gets" with the dual ram air intake at 60mph so i guess its the same idea, but if power proven then i would be interested

Ya i know what your saying but i have never seen a thread about this before... maybe it was another company. Eloy told me that the company would not put out a product that doesn't make power.

I had one on my Z4M.
I took it off after a couple of weeks, I honestly felt nothing.
IMO, The street benefits are minimal.
Track... maybe

Kool is right.
There was another thread about these things on here last summer. The concensus was that it would have a minimal affect on our cars.

Eloy told me that he will provide a dyno sheet proving that the scoops gain power and what do you guys think about an exhaust?

I love my current exhaust but I'm up for viewing any numbers you find.
Thanks!

If you look at the intake tract of the BMW, and the one on our car, they are totally different. The RPI works on the 3 because the stock intake snorkel inlet is directly above where the RPI (or any other brand) is mounted.

On our car, the snorkel inlet is very small. Look inside your grill and you can see it (it's about 1.5" or so in diameter). I don't see how RPI could design a scoop unless they're planning to make an intake of their own to accomodate their scoops.

If you look at the M6 picture i posted with the scoops, they have the same intake set-up as we do and they got 15 hp at the wheels using the scoops.

My question is, will there still be the same gain if I were to use my JWT intake because I think anywhere near 2k for an intake system is pushing it.

Its not 2k for the intake... its 2k for a full exhaust system... the intake scoops are gonna be less than 120... and you could see a good gain with the JWT intake.. i have them on my car. so i will have them dyno it with on and with the stock intake on.
