Nissan Power Pup Bullydog - First Impressions
The key differences between powerpup, technosquare and cobb?
I dont know the differences at all...
with cobb and osiris, u get different maps (modes) that u can put. like the valet mode where the car cant go past 35mph or stock mode or race mode. ill be getting my osiris tune by june
powerpup im not familiar with.
I think, having gone through the different argements, I am going to go with Cobb. It's now apparently available for the 07 sedan. It costs a whole lot more, which is the bad thing, but having several different maps, WOT from any speed makes this worth it for me. I just need to finish putting on my bolt-ons!!!
Agree with your write up jack090, I have had a great experience with bully dog support after a couple of initial installation attempts. The initial download did not accept my updates so I was emailed version 1.2.2; this also did not read my ECU so after another email from bullly dog support, I downloaded their v 1.2.2a zip file- the download on my G then worked perfectly.
I used the regular maps since I burn 87 octane but did not change the timing or idle- set the speed limiter at 156 and RPM limiter to 7650; I did experience improved power in all 6 gears, particularly at 55mph+ on the interstate while downshifting and just flooring it. I will review later to determine any improved mpg. I may try the premium tune at my next fill up with 91 octane, although I have been running 87 octane for the last 2 years/20,000 miles with no problems/no pings.
Before buying the Nissan power pup, I was seriously considering the Osiris standard tune, but I'm not convinced it's worth $350 more than the pup ($700 vs $350). Dyno forthcoming to futher validate my assumptions- or lack thereof.

Just a quick update on the gas mileage. I ended up driving roughly 300 miles today and the mileage was 24.8 for the total trip. (Some of this was through city traffic) I can definitely tell my mileage has gotten better. I was driving like a granny when I did this however. I have been playing with the extra power before my trip, and it's still crappy when you WOT around town. (roughly 18-19) but this is acceptable for me when "playing" with it.
when i play with it, my mpg is like 14mpg lol.... I average 19-20 mpg on my daily commute (roughly 35 miles each way of mix hwy and stop and go). When just ride interstate, i easily get 23 mpg, and 24 if i really wanna TRY....
Just ordered mine and its coming next Wednesday. I am running JWT popchargers, Berk HFC's, Stillen CB, and BB grounding wires. I really really really want to find a dyno to do a before and after but Im not sure if I can pull together enough money. My other car (WRX) is broken and needs some love too.
