so are we all agreeing that timing needs to be changed from -2 to either 0 or +2?

Stock timing = 0

I have mine set to premium and +2 timing, and its a different animal now.

I did the dyno run on my iphone and it shows a consistent 13-18 hp difference from previous runs. I gotta say that Im impressed with this product AND their customer service.

$330 for 15hp aint a bad deal at all and it cleared up my dipping idle issue.

Heres a question: Will an ecu reset make a difference?? Or do you think it cleared all the learned values when it updated the ecu?

looks like my original upload set the Timing at 0 automatically. I am just going to leave it where it is.

Don't go by what you are seeing anymore. Just know this and you will be fine...

Receive your BullyDog.
Immediately have it run a scan on your car and the STOP! Do not proceed with the upload.
Instead, contact BullyDog support and have them pull your ECU # from the BullyDog unit. They will then confirm the agent version you should install.

Follow this and all will be groovy.

Plug it in, and then ignore all warnings... you will be in the ****.
Follow the above steps, and you will be rewarded with more power and better MPG.

Bottom line.

What's the stock redline shift point on our car?
I set my new shift point to 7700 RPMs but at WOT, it seems to be shifting sooner than it used to.
What are you guys setting your shift point to?

Suby set his to 8500. He has ***** of steel.
I have ***** of high density polyethylene plastic, so I'm looking for something a little safer than that.

I believe it has to do with the engine running more efficiently, but to go into more info than that... I dunno.
I know that it has to do with improved timing, which in turn improves MPG.

Do a quick search for BullyDog and MPG. There's tons of forums with different types of vehicles all claiming the same thing.
I know I've jumped somewhere between 2-3 MPG with my Premium Tune, and I have not changed my driving habits or routes at all.
Pretty impressive considering the noticeable gains it also delivered.

^ Aeson the stock redline shift should be @ 7600rpm, sett it up to 8k MAX IMO though i would stick with 7800 personally.

Does anyone know if BD works with MT?

i cant decide if I should take the next step and put the timing at +2...I really need this car to run flawlessly and I dont want to chance ruining the engine.

and yes, it is for sale still, but i figure I would have fun with the tune while i have it.

My car is running awesome.

Remember, the dealer offers the +2 setting as well.

+2 by itself is nothing to worry about, it's one of the least expensive and a rather common way to get decent performance out of most Nissan's. It's that, combined with whatever else BD does to the settings, that may be an issue. But then again, looks like everyone is having a grand time with it.
