learned vs. learned would probably be best, since that's what you're gonna be running after the install.

^ same to same would be fine, but I do agree that it would be nice to see L'd vs L'd.

one more thing that is going to skew the results is going to be the existing Modifications to the car. i have a Catback and Intake already so not sure what these may bring...

and in reality, if you were to do a dyno run with a learned BD tune and then just un install it instead of resetting the ECU, the BD would just install the backup of your factory tune which would be whatever had been learned before, so it would actually be a learned stock tune.

Good thought, but I'm not sure that it works that way.

Same as the BD load has to be relearned each time, I think the OE settings would as well.
I think its just parameter settings, it doesn't save the current memory stack.

If anyone cares, the BD software works with Windows 7...just installed and updated without any problems.

Well, we saw the results on having a few pulls at stock and then with the BD installed.
I'm interested in the results of having the BD installed first (And the car run that way for a while, as in days/weeks/months) and then removed.

That's the way I plan on getting my results.

I'm with Scooby on this one. If i had a BD to play with, you guys would've had a dyno months ago!

Funny how those with the BD are having trouble getting dyno's, while those who can do dyno pulls don't have BD's. LOL.

Hey... I heard that!
Listen, I'm not in here claiming crazy HP results and I'm not in a hurry to spend $150 to prove to others that I gained something.
I am curious on my gains and what I'm currently running, but I haven't gotten it on a dyno yet. I will share my results once I have them though. I'm definitely not avoiding you guys though.

I dont mind people popping in here claiming that the BD is BS and provides nothing but a loss, but you better have hard facts and proof when you make the claim, just as the rest of us are demanded to provide hard facts and proof that we gained something.
Where are these slips and what were the BD's settings? We still don't know this stuff.

I'm also not real happy with the stock results either, so this first test is useless in my opinion anyway.

Mike, I'd send mine to you but I honestly don't want to remove it from my car.

ball.saxbury, I take it you're not using the BD at this point? If not, why don't you send it my way and I'll dyno it here in KC's 800 ft elevation on a 6MT.

The dyno is 5 minutes from my house and know the owner real well so can do whatever is needed to get true results on a stock car.

I can probably get it tuned, uninstalled and shipped back out to you within a few days of me receiving it.

Hey Austin. Where do you mount your Passport? I have a 9500ix and it went off as soon as I turned the car on. I used Mike's Mount which attaches underneath the rearview mirror. I found out that the Nav screen is what sets off the laser on mine. I mounted it more forward on the windshield using suction cups and it is fine in that position.

no worries. I'd probably say and do the same thing if i was in your shoes. I'm all for dyno's myself, but sometimes a seat in your pants difference in feel sometimes do mean that something is different -- good or bad. The BD, to me, although i don't currently have one, seems to offer more than just added power - the rev limit increase for example is very appealing to me and would come in handy in the track i visit often. The graphs that show where the power lies with or without the BD is just icing.

Yeah, go straight down 249 at Houston Performance

www.houstonperformance.com

If you go to Dynojets website you can enter your zip code and it finds the closest one near you. they charge 75 for 3 pulls
