Hmm...
Maybe I'll pull the tune and keep the +2 and see how I do.
I wonder if I'd lose the +2 MPG I gained when I put the tune in.

Very disappointing and I feel bad for those who dropped money on this tuner to lose HP. Surprised b/c i know owners with Titans that gained about 20rwhp and BD is a reputable name especially in the diesel market. Maybe the results would net more positive numbers with aftermarket exhausts and intakes? After speaking to a few tuners i decided against BD this week. The most reputable and solid gains are from Technosquare from all the research i've done...IMO

There needs to be a Dyno done with mods already done to our cars. I.e. HFC and Exhausts.

I think this would be the best thing to do now. But what Im really interested in is drag times. I wana go to a track and test it out with every configuration to see what the best result would be. I think drag times would prove more than a dyno since suposibly BD does more then just "add" hp & tq. Its supposto also increase response and shifts right? I am now trying to do something about that. My car is stock other than the BD.

That's my problem... I didn't tune my car back when it was stock.
I've got the grounding wires, exhaust and intakes in and the car felt much more aggressive once the tune was applied.
I have no idea what kind of numbers I have before/after but there is no denying the difference in feel... hard to explain I guess.

My local shop wants a lot of dough for 3 lousy runs

I was actually at the shop with g35now! And I saw the graphs myself and comparing all the other runs, no tune with no timing was higher all the way through the run. I would be interested to see what it would run with my mods though. I feel like gains might be seen with exhaust and intake.

If you guys are right near each other, why not just use his tuner and take a few runs in your car to see how the mods help?

I have my own bd, there wasn't time to get me on there because they were closing, also after seeing no gains I didn't really feel like spending 75 bucks to confirm the same thing

Hey G35now, thanks for getting yours dynoed. I am glad to know that I am not the only one who is losing power with the BD tune.

After my own test, 2deg timing and stock setting is the best. When my car was on premium tune it got this problem starting the car when hot and when idle the rpms went up and down. After stock tunning and 2deg, everything was gone. My only complain is the restriction of rpms and top speed. If BD does not do something soon, I will sell it and get the Cobb AP-NIS-004 that permits custom tunning to our cars. check it out here:
