Yesterday I try and make a call using a voicetag and it went to the phone book. After several attempts I tried another voicetag. Turns out they are all gone. I went into programming and all the information was there except for the voicetag. So I reprogram every voicetag (27 of them) and all works fine for the rest of the day. I had done no other programming and I use the voicetags every day. I did nothing that would make them go away. Anyone else have this happen to them?

 

This has happened to a few people and it's the reason I stopped using voicetags.

my gf dials the numbers for me. otherwise, i just say the number. never bothered with voice tags.

 

its a pretty well documented problem... search around there are some other threads on it. Since mine vanished, i just dial from my phone.

 

That sucks, hope they come up with a fix as I realy enjoyed this feature as it worked great! (til yesterday that is)

 

Lost mine 3 times in a week already. Cannot seem to come up with any cause/behaviour that is linked to the loss yet.

 

i lost my voice tags nd havent reprogrammed yet. i just say phonebook and then it lists the contacts and i say the number that the contact is next to.

 

Ok, I am up to losing voice tags 4 times now in 1 week with the new G. Most recent time I only put 3 tags in to see if they would last and no joy. This is really bugging me.

 

It's been noted that this is a documentet problem. Hokie: by documented do you mean here & other boards or with Infiniti as well? It would be nice to know that Infiniti is aware of these type of issues so the service guys don't say, "Gee, I have not heard of that problem before" Does Infiniti have a venue where inherent issues can be reported?

 

Its been my experience that you will have to find out firsthand whether or not your service dept knows about it. You will read that some take their cars to the dealer and they know that these problems exist while others either have NO clue or refuse to admit to knowing problems exist. The problem with the voice tags is well documented HERE on driver and I have seen it mentioned on other forums as well. There are some support phone numbers that Infiniti has, I do not have any of them on hand at the moment. I am sure you could find on though and file your complaint.
