Help! Do I need an alignment, or is something else wrong!
So I got my 19 oem coupe wheels installed, but the car seems to be affected more by the uneven grooves in the road .
I remeber my stock wheels and tires felt very stable at high speeds, 80 and 90 felt very controlled and safe. I thought it was me but the car seems to pull way to hard left or right when I hit uneven grooves in the road.
I just got back from a spirted run up the hwy and there is a portion of the road that started to curve and has uneven groves in it. When I hit it I felt the car pull to the right and then left, scared the **** out of me.
I know that it is a good idea to get an alignment when you install new wheels and tires but what I felt seems Little extreme.

Changing wheels should not cause the behavior you described.
Other things to consider ... Could there be something loose in your suspension? Did anything get broken during wheel installation? Are you using new or used tires?

I looked it over and everything seems fine, The thing is I only experence this when I hit even road surfaces. I am going to get an alignment done tomorrow. All four wheels are used and the fronts tires. Do I need to make sure the wheels aren't some how warped! The rear tires are new. If this problem persists I may have to put my stocks back on.
If the wheels are warped or bent, you would feel more of a vibration at high speeds. Are the used tires wearing down evenly? Any feathering on the outter tread? You may want to consider putting the stock front tires / wheels back on to see if you still get the pull. That might save you some $$ on the alignment.

Sounds like tramlining. This may be due to going to a lower profile tire or due to uneven wear/feathering as terrycs indicated.
Low profile, high performance tires can be more susceptible to this condition b/c, by design, they have stiffer sidewalls and are more responsive. Running offsets different than stock may also affect this.

That is normal for low profile tires.. you tend to feel most of the imperfections on the road.. little grooves and such.. same thing i felt on my previous cars that had low profile tires and aftermarket wheels.. i thought it was due to my suspension being altered/lowered (i mostly do suspension before wheels) but even with stock height i tried and it still pulls on either side on uneven roads

It's "bump steer". As mentioned.. You have a wider contact patch with low profile tires which causes the car to find the imperfections on the road. It's normal, nothing to worry about, just an annoyance.
There is a rather simple fix for it too. A steering damper.. Although, you'd have to fab your own mounting brackets, but I suppose if the bump steer really bothers you that much, it could be worth it.

Perhaps some tires are more prone to this than others. I have brand new T1Rs and the cars still drives like stock. Others that have driven my car (including my wife) say the same. I also have 20" wheels ... 245 fr and 285 rr.

I felt like even the stock tires pulled sometimes on grooved roads but not to this extreme. It makes me think twice about going over 80 mph, for fear that it might happen again.

As you know I have the same setup. I'm running TR1s on my 19s, 225/40 and 245/40. Mine rides great, about the same as stock with just a bit more feel. I feel more of the bumps, but the car sticks and handles a lot better than stock strictly because of the upgraded rubber. My car doesn't pull at all, on even or bumpy surfaces. Honestly the noise isn't even bad which I was worried about.
So long story short...KDG35...like Terry said I would put the stock back on and see how it rides. Might be faulty wheels???
