That is correct it is that ratio in all 2nd gen sedans.
You can check here: http://www.infinitinews.com/index.html Go to Infiniti, then specs for 07 or 08

it should be very interesting to see. Raising the rev limiter to 8k, cams, and with a final drive of 4.083 this car would really move. easily low 13 second car. Can't wait to see when someone does this.

Stock 3.692

RPM ..1st Gear.. 2nd Gear.. 3rd Gear ..4th Gear... 5th Gear... 6th Gear
7500..... 43 ...........69........... 99 .........127.......... 161............ 203

vs.

4.083

RPM.. 1st Gear ...2nd Gear... 3rd Gear... 4th Gear ...5th Gear... 6th Gear
7500 ......38........... 63............. 90............ 115......... 146 ...........184

now my shift to 4th will be worth while, instead of just being in 4th for 3mph.

I'm getting pumped!

This car should have come with this gear ratio. In comparison tests, cars with less hp usually nip at G's heels because of the tall gears.

Yea.. it looks like it was made for this car. I'll hopefully be correcting Infiniti's mistake of leaving it at 3.692 soon after my exhaust sells.

I have 4.083 gears and a Carbonetics LSD. The LSD isn't required as I had the OEM VLSD, but if you're ever going to add one, changing gears is the time to do it. Here's a chart with the RPM in each gear with a 6mt, 4.083 gears, and 285/35x19 rear tires.

4.083 gears are a great mod!

Here's a link to the site where I calculated it:

http://www.f-body.org/gears/

You can put your own redline and other information in and calculate whatever you want.
