Is the group buy out for this yet? This site has been down and I want this exhaust and the HFC so bad.

i was awaiting the GB and the site went down. Then on my350z, a couple of G owners picked up their own set outside of any group buy.

when does it start?

 

Best to get the information straight from the Fast Intentions. Go to their website and/or give them a call. Of course, be sure to post up what you find out!

I just got off the phone with Tony @ FI. I am sending him pics of rear axel (4was), and he said he is going to look if there is enough clearance for the exhaust. If there is... I will be getting mine (and maybe HFC's if I can hear the comparison side by side... hint, hint, hint)

To help you guys/gals decide whether or not you want to add HFC to your Fast Intentions exhaust, Fast07GSdn (with HFC) and I (without HFC) thought we'd do a couple of comparison videos.

After driving his car, I thought it sounded pretty good as far as tone (deep). As for sound level, I also thought it sounded comparable to FI with the Magnaflows that were on my car earlier. With HFC ... I could easily tell his car pulled faster, so I am certain there will be measurable gains. The peak sound also happened around 2400 to 2600 as with the Magnaflow mufflers I had.

Without the HFC, my car was very quiet ... just slightly louder than stock. Most of the time, you may not even be able to tell it's there, but it will be apparent when you step on it. Some of you will probably prefer more sound to make sure others know you have an aftermarket exhaust. Being the youngster he is, I believe Alan preferred more sound with the HFC after driving my car around like a maniac. BTW - thanks for bedding in my brakes again ... those things were smokin and freaked him out!

So ... for me ... I think I'll keep mine the way it is for a little longer and keep it quiet for a while. However ... if I see some nice gains on the up coming dyno from G-ME with his FI+HFC, I reserve the right to re-think my decision!
