Well, we were installing our Intimidator cat back this morning on a G35X and I realized a modification needed to be made. However, this was a blessing in disguise because now we offer a cat back for the G35 Sedan 2WD, AWS and AWD.

In the first two pictures you will see that the passenger side (S) Pipe needed to be fabricated different so it would clear the casing. All of you G35X drivers can thank Jim. He was the first...

Thanks, Tony

Are the HFCs and cat-back something that can be installed at home, bolt-on if you will? I know sometimes exhaust parts are difficult to remove but mine are only a couple months old.

I know! I wish the six speed manual was offered on the "X" models.

yea the catback is easy to remove and install. just make sure the sockets you use are deep and have only 6 sides. do not try to use 12point or shallow sockets.

a can of PB blaster would help too. It doesn't really matter how old it is, exhaust hardware likes to sieze.

as far as the hfc goes, i haven't attempted it yet, so i cant tell you. But i bet you have to use some long extensions and possibly a swivle socket to get to the nuts where they meet the headers.

The cat back is not to difficult to do. However, I would recommend a lift to do the HFC's. They are very tedious and there are some certain steps that need to be taken to make the job easier...
