If you find a way to disable it let me know. I don't need to reason I just want to get rid of them.
actually maintaining your car doesn't prevent a nail from getting into your tire and letting out 10psi overnight.

And no, you cannot visually SEE a 10 psi difference.

TPMS wouldn't be that bad if it can actually read all four tires and tell you which one is low, but you have to check all of them to find the culprit. I check my tire pressure everytime I fill up, but it would be nice to disable this option if not in use.

it'll be great if it does that and self regulate (inflate as needed while rolling), that'd be cool

Just a thought but how about just removing the bulb from the console? That way the tpms would still do its job - if you actually had a tire failure the audible alarm would still sound.

I have one faulty sensor so my TPMS light is on all the time. It bothers me, but not as much as all the trouble of buying a new sensor and installing it.

....
Uhmm . . . there is no audible alarm; it's just the light.

(So it hardly warranted bumping a 5-1/2 year old thread)

Uhmmm.... My 04 sedan has an audible alarm when the tire pressure rapidly decreases. I know this because I heard it when a piece of rebar tore the sidewall out of one of my tires at highway speeds.

From Blue Dream:

"When the alarm beeps and the light comes on the system is telling you one or more of your tires needs air. If the light comes on with no beep, it's telling you it doesn't recognize one of more of the sensors. If you have a full size spare, be sure to check that as well, they also have a sensor."

"If there are no sensors, the light will come on after about 30 minutes without a buzzer. If the tire pressure is low, the light will come on with a buzzer. "

I wondered if you might have been referring to a 1st gen vehicle. I have never heard any buzzer associated with TPMS faults in my 2nd gen car, or any others here that I can recall. While I haven't ever had a rapid blow-out, I have substantially deflated a tire, albeit while at rest, and heard no buzzer sound either. I guess it could be that it needs a speed signal in conjunction with rapid low pressure to activate though.
