Bringing Oil to Dealership for Oil Change

Can someone explain more about this? How much do I have to buy? And if buying synthetic, should I buy Mobil 1? I have a 2008 G35x.

Thanks.

Actually you'll need 6 quarts. The oil capacity is 5 1/8 quarts. Since you're under warranty, you should either stick with 5w-30 or 0w-30.

The better oils (per various websites) are:

1) Castrol Syntec 0w-30 (aka GC)
2) Amsoil SSO 0w-30
3) Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30

The oil that perform pretty very well but not in our viscosity range is:

1) Mobil1 0w-40

Mobil1 5w-30 hasn't performed that well in our engine.

Where did you get this information from? Just wondering because I used Mobil1 5w-30 for my first oil change about a month ago.

Whatever the labor rate is for an oil change. Asking is the best way to find out.
