Can someone help me out with this issue?

I have a 08 Sedan Sport. Today when I turn off the ignition and open the door to get out, the seat goes back and wheel goes up like it suppose to and a steady tone (beep) continues to go off until I close the door. What is causing this steady tone to sound? There is no flashing lights on the dash.
Now with this I installed a Betty's ground kit yesterday. I do not see how this could have cause anything reference the tone sound? After install I took it for a test run and didn't noticed it then. I realized it after lunch today. Other than the ground kit the car is all stock. Considering that I disconnected the battery for the install, is there something I need to reset? Now if I close the door and re-open it the tone goes away. Any suggestions??

the tone is usually to warn you that you left your parking or headlights on.

Keep the light on auto and not worry about them again.

Haha... that happened to me too!

I flicked on my highs to signal somebody in a parking lot, and I thought I pulled back on the stalk, but apparently not.

I didn't notice my highs were on at first, but my LCD screen was dim (when the brightness was on auto). When I got out of the car, I got that annoying beep sound which I couldn't figure out what the cause was.

Luckily there was an Infiniti dealership nearby, so I drove over to find out what was going on.

After the service manager found the issue in 5 seconds - I was so embarrassed, I couldn't speak.

On that note maybe you can help me with this problem!

I have the same exact car but recently when I push the door button for the intellikey the car doesn't beep 3 times to unlock and lock like it used to! It locks and unlocks like it should still but there are no beeps! When I open the trunk it still beeps and in both instances the lights flash.
What could be the dumb problem here haha?

Hold down the lock and unlock buttons on your key fob at the same time for a few seconds. Should fix the problem.

There are all kinds of hidden settings with that key fob.
To lazy to search, is there a way to disconnect the windows down feature when you hold down the unlock button. I have to remove my key fob from my pocket at work. twice I went outside and my windows were down. During the day I press the button in some way or another. Same problem I had with my Max but I thought you can disconnect that feature? My car is parked within 15feet of my office window.

Well I went ahead and search, someone mentioned on a Nissan forum that if you lock your windows from the inside (drivers panel), the window down feature will not work when using the key fob. Will try this out tomorrow and yall know.

Ok, so in terms of that annoying beeping noise - yes, you will get a loud beep if your lights are left on.

What I find way more annoying is this: When you open your door before hitting turning off the ignition, the car beeps at you until you close the door. I can't stand this since I often grab the door handle and hit the ignition button at the same time. The beep is similar to the 'headlight on' warning but it is definitely different.

Very annoying. Not sure if they turned this off on later model years - I have an 08 so I don't know if they changed this after my MY but it is annoying! I have to close the door to get the beeping to stop. When I first had the car I actually had to call the dealer to ask him why the car was beeping at me.

So it might be your lights, or it might be that you are opening your door before the ignition is cut sometimes.

Cheers!

Jay
