HAWAII LABOR DAY CRUISE/BBQ
Re: Labor Day Cruise
I don't think I'm going to that. I don't see the value of Nismo products especially when there's a whole bunch of new aftermarket products out (hint: Crawford Plenum
). Let us know how it turned out though. Do you want to meet sometime sooner than the cruise? Maybe up Diamond Head lookout one weekend afternoon?

Re: Labor Day Cruise
Yes, meeting is now Wednesday per Fred. New time and date.
Date: Wednesday Aug. 6

Place: Nissan Motor Corp across the street from Infiniti.
What: Z Club of Hawaii monthly meeting...Nismo stuff, upcoming G35/350 cruise, club announcements.

Re: Labor Day Cruise
Went on a test run with XLR8SN, CBR600rr wasn't able to make it, but the route that we went seemed to be a good route for that weekend. Not too long, not too short
The route for the labor day cruise:
Start off at Moanalua Int school parking lot
head to H3 and stop off at the lookout at Kaneohe Bay
From H3 head to the Pali and get back on the H1 and head east towards Hawaii Kai
Turn left after Koko Marina Shopping Center and head to Kalama Valley Shopping Center which is at the bottom next to the golf course.
Get back onto Kalanianiole Highway and head over to Waimanalo and turn left at Norfolks and rest at the end of the road.
Get back on the highway and head towards Kaneohe Bay and go all the way around and then head towards the Ko'olau where we can rest and take pictures next to the nice scenery
Get back on H3 and head west, exit the Honolulu off ramp and head back to Infiniti for the BBQ.
By this time it should be around 4pm.

Re: Labor Day Cruise
Great job guys!! Sorry, I didnt know you guys were gonna do a test run tonight. Although, I did overhear XLR8SN say something about it. Good deal!!
I was gonna prolly do a test run myself this weekend, if I have time. March of Dimes bike run so I will see I can do it before then.
What was the total time? Any traffic lights or major intersections that we have to worry about?

Re: Labor Day Cruise
The total drive time was about an hour and fourty-five minutes. Taking into consideration traffic and stop time it should be about a 3 hour cruise. The main stops will be at Kaneoke Bay look out, Kalama Valley, Norfolks, and Ko'olau. Trying to keep most of the time on the freeway, the only place that will be a bottleneck will be from sandy's to norfolks due to a single lane highway.
Re: Labor Day Cruise
cbr600rr,
Sorry about that. We were going to do the run to check to times, and I remembered that you had to work so was not really going to say anything. Then come to find out that you took off from work to make the meeting, and you were actually free. Sorry, wasnt intentionally leaving you out there.
BTW, when do you want to ask Infiniti about the food? Also, I remember that you were looking into having the food catered in.

Re: Labor Day Cruise
Actually just getting onto the freeway from the school will be a challenge. There were like 2 or 3 stop lights back to back of each other. Will probably have to pull on the side somewhere to let the back end catch up a little. Also going through Aina Haina side, with all of those stop lights as well, just need to watch those rearview mirrors a little to keep an eye on the rear of the group.
We will need to stage some of ourselves in the front, middle, and rear of the group to make sure that everyone knows where they are going as well I think.

XLR8SN!!
Well I think we should go in when Richard is working. Will have to clarify his working days with him. As far as catering, we dont need to cater. Its up to everyone else. I thought that would be the easiest way. It may cost us, so lets see if Infiniti is willing to chip in on cost. If not, we can always do the Costco thing.

Re: Labor Day Cruise
Nogoslow!!
Anyone is invited...were also planning the start up of a club and eventually branch into a bigger club under the FM platform, which would be G35's, 350Z's, and FX35's. This was the idea of Richard from Infiniti.
If you know anyone else out there with G's, please let them know.

Re: Labor Day Cruise
FYI:
Please only FM platform vehicles. No TOYOTA's HONDA's etc. If your friends want to come on the cruise they can hop in with you and leave their cars at the beginning site.
thanks

Re: Labor Day Cruise
Changing the headlight bulbs are a synch considering what I had to do to change the bulbs.
First of all, jack up the car and remove the front tires. Infiniti made it a little difficult to change headlight bulbs.
2. Remove the upper half of the plastic fender well, not completely. Enough to gain access to the light harness.
3. Twist and pull out the bulbs. Make sure you have the correct bulbs. On the headlight assembly, it should tell you which set of bulbs are installed on your model. I hear some models are different from others....I may be wrong. It took me 3 trips with 3 different sets of bulbs. Duh!!
Right now, I have Piaa super whites on the low beams, and Piaa Plasmas on the high beam. The plasmas radiate a pink-bluish aura. I like it and it sure beats installing the real HID's, although, Id still prefer that over what I have now.
