Expecting soft rubber to then last for a significant period of time is just being unreasonable and ignoring the laws of physics. Think about it. Maybe you bought the wrong car.
What the hell do you mean performance. I'm talking about a daily driver car.

I also don't want summer tires, I need all-season tires so I don't kill my self in the winter.

Half the people here are acting like I'm going to navigate my turns at 40 MPH and take it to the track weekly.

I've been going with cheap tires that have a mileage guarantee for over 10 years. I'm not asking people to give there opinion on why I shouldn't get cheap tires.

You don't always get what you pay for for. Sometimes reliable things are cheap.

At this point I'm going to be down-grading to 17's.

^you are correct but when i have a 3800lbs vehicle moving at 75mph, i would rather pay an extra $25 to have tires that might not blow out, or in general be of poor quality. something i would rather not skimp on. tires are one, brakes are another. i understand being frugal but you will never win this argument with me. even if you spend 2k on tires and they last 2 years but they save you and other people on the road from a potential accident it is worth it in my opinion.

that and you can spend 10 on a engine, another 5k on suspension and if you have garbage tires it wont matter, the limit of the tire is reached.

I understand what you're saying, but my point is you can have quality tires at a lower price.

I've never had a single problem with my tires - they have always been safe on rain and snow.

Maybe I'm different, but I don't drive like a maniac and logically reduce my speed in bad weather.

I am not talking about getting no-brand tires. I always thought Goodyear and Michellin, although at the bottom of the line, worked well.

Does anyone here have a lower end car even? Do you buy the greatest performance tires from them. I really feel that cheap tires have worked out well for me.

I DO understand that having 19's will increase the cost, but I don't need ultra-performance.

but you bought a performance car with the performance wheel and tire package, and then you want to put cheap hard rubber on them. Why did you even buy the car if you are going to drive it like a grandma?

Dont remind me lol

BTW got the Falkens on today. WOW. For the price, this tire is amazing. It is SOOOO much quieter than the stock RE050As. Wow. They seem to grip better too.

If anyone recomends some (that they have used) I will be then selling my 3rd set of wheels, OEM 17s.

Please dont tell me to keep the 17s for winter and chuck the 19s idea. I live in a milder climate in the winter and want looks over preformance. Besides, I have a Silverado if the going gets real tuff.

Thanks for the imput!
all season = no season bro. Go winter tires on some 18's if you have the money. Or else your gonna crash.

a quick question for you guys,

..if i get Falken 452s 245/35/19 (Front) and 255/40/19 (Rear) and lower my car a significant amount (to get rid of the gap) will i rub?

Also keep in mind, i plan on getting spacers to kick out the wheels as well so they are more flush.

Thanks in advance.

Even with 30mm spacers and those sized tires you should not rub if you roll your rear fenders. Do it.

ok so i got my 245/35 and 245/40 452s today and the car feels like it handles WAY more in the front than the rear.. call me a nub or something but i dont think thats suppose to happen, either way im completely not happy with the 245/35 in the front and 245/40 in the rear. Anyone wanna trade for a 235/35? brand new 452s?

what do you mean way more in the front than the rear? Do you mean less understeer? Like the back end comes around easier? That is what is supposed to happen, it handles more neutral, takes a better driver to control it but it will be faster overall around corners

well that's what i was referring to. It feels as if the rear has LESS control because the front has MORE grip than the rear does. I haven't invested enough time into the cornering, so i'm just speaking as to my previous experience. Previously it felt as if the car was cornering all together not one side more than the other.
