Tire pressure sensors in new rims??
If the sensor fit in your new wheels I suggest you get them swapped over I had my TPS put into my wheels and I'm glad I did. You would have to go to the dealer to get the TPS deactivated if you don't install them in your new wheels or else the TPS light will come on for the first 40 mins of your driving.

I swapped mine over and believe me that the guys who did the swap were very happy to see me leave. LOL Those sensors were almost impossible to get into the SSR's and they had to grind down the outside edges of a wrench to do it.
I was actually going to post this question myself. What happens if you dont put them on new rims? Does the light just come on or is there something that will go wrong?(Such as the car cutting power or something like that?)
or you could spend the extra 400 and get a new set of OEM TPMS and the valves
instead of taking them off the stock wheels. This way, you don't have to put them back on the wheels when you switch to winter tires (provided the stock wheels are your winter wheels)

The owner of the shop that installed my winter tires told me that if I purchase aftermarket rims and do not install the TPMS sensors I could have a claim denied by my insurance company in the event of an accident. Scary thought! Is there any truth to this?

^ No he just doesnt want to do it lol
careful when grinding down the rim to make the Sensor fit.. you MAY have a leak afterwards.. IMO just run without it.. Also by law you are no tallowed to deactiviate the TPMS system!

Thank you! I was just about to clarify that. They did NOT grind the RIM - they ground the outside of the wrench to make the WRENCH fit in the space with enough room to turn in order to install the TPMS without popping the rivets out.
