TO ALL THE STRETCH TIRE AGGRESSIVE FITMENT GUYS! Need Your Help
Hey, so here is my question:
I have:
245/35/19 on a 19x9 rim front
275/35/19 on a 19x10 rim rear
I want to keep the same sidewall thickness but stretched.
I was thinking:
245/40/19 or 255/35/19 on a 19x9.5 rim front
255/40/19 on a 19x10.5 rim rear
Will the sidewalls be very similar?

If you want "stretched" (wide rim, narrow tire), that wont get it.
With a 9.5 by 19 in the front, you would need a 225 or less get a "stretch" on it.
With a 10.5, you would need a 245 or less.
There is a 350Z in "Modified" magazine last month that had 11" by 19" on the front with 225 35 19" on it and 11" by 19" in the back with 285 35 19" on them. That thing was stretched like a rubber band.

Keeping the same sidewall and stretching the tire wont work... You could run a 225/40 up front for a mild stretch and a 245/40 in the rear, once again, you'll only get a mild stretch with that on a 9.5/10.5 setup.
There is NO performance advantage to stretched tires, it's all for looks.

I want to do this so bad! But HONESTLY, how often will I have to be worried?

and plus, the setup you're going for wont be THAT stretched, it's a little more than a mild stretch, but not an extreme stretch, just right in between.

I have 10" rims with 295/30 and they look good, not the stretched look but I wanted to protect my rims on a daily driver.
Rear: 295/30/20
front: 245/35/20
I like stretched look but I wanted to save rims and rim rash, maybe next set of tires I will stretch more.
