My dad is trying to find some snow tires for an ice event we are doing in 2 weeks.

Dont want to spend a ton. But iv checked craigslist, and cant find anything.

Cheapest i have found is for Blizzak WS-60s on tirerack for around $115 per tire.

Janik, new winters will give you the best ice traction and the WS60s are a good choice.
If he is racing in an ice event then studded winters FTW if they allow them there..

They allow studded, but these are going on my 17s and i will use them next winter, so cant use studded.

Its more of just an ice 'driving event' with an audi club where you race around a 1.5 mile track on a lake. Looks like a lot of fun. We would mount my 17s to the 08.

Those Blizzaks should work well if the tread is good. I run Dunlop SP Winter Sport M3 V rated tires this time of year and am happy with them, as another idea if the Blizzaks don't work out.

Dad said $380 is more than he wanted to spend and told me to keep looking..

I cant seem to find them for cheaper anywhere. He just wants them for doing the ice driving event, and then ill just inherit them for next winter.

if $380 is more then he wants to spend on winter tires, i would tell him to go fly a kit because your looking for tires in 17's you should be happy its less then $100 per tire.

if your going to get him, ask him how much he wants to spend and add on to that and get these for next year. hell if he wanted to sell right after he can probaly recover all that money if not more.
