I have a question for this section.... I have a 04 G35 Sedan 6mt, stock suspension. Just recently put G37X coupe 18's on it. Rears are 18x8.5 (not sure of offset, searched but couldn't find it), with 245/45/18 rubber. It drives fine, but over heavy bumps (e.g. railroad tracks), it rubs. I'm guessing I need spacers for the rear? If so, any recommended size? The wheels already stick out to the fender, so not sure how much further I'd need to clear suspension (I'm guessing it's a suspension rub here and not a fender rub, as my car is not lowered). Thanks in advance!

I found a guy on craiglist who is selling coupe 19s w/ tires for $800. I went to look at them yesterday and they are in awesome condition. The tires have tons of tread (at least 90%) and they are falken 452s. I'm going to buy them. Only one issue, the tires are 235/35/19s. I've read that a 35 profile tire is too small for the coupe. Is this true? If so, I may just sell the tires and buy new ones. Either way it's a steal. Would a 255/265 tire in the rear be too much on an 8.5in rim? Can I run 35 profile tire in rear? Or not at all? Thanks in advance for the help!

After I install my camber kit and get the alignment done, will I have to roll my fenders more or stretch it a little?

255 maybe, 265 will bulge too much... 245 is actually a good fit for 8.5Originally Posted by Footballmania32

if you go 255 you could probably do 35 profile (40 would be closer to OEM diameter)... if you went 245 you should do 40 (35 would be quite a bit smaller than OEM)... you dont want to do 265 on 8.5

I have a quick question, I found a posting for Rays that look just like the coupe 19" rays. Did they ever make these in an 18''? sorry for my ignorance but I found a set for sale and was wondering in the posting was wrong/fraud. Thanks

^wrong
They were designed by Rays. They came on sport model 05/06 G sedans. They were not made by Rays. They are a cast wheel and not forged, most sources point to them being made by Enkei.
They are nice looking wheels.

damn. ok. I'm just saying it's not like the seller is lying. They designed it but didn't make it. How many people know that?Originally Posted by 4DGS

I dunno, I know so I inform people when I can! haha
Not sure what the seller said, but if he mentioned they were Rays, technically he'd be wrong.

I appreciate the info...the seller did not represent them as Rays, I made the assumtion. I guess the only advantage is the cheaper price and I would be able to rotate the tires to improve life out of the rubber.

I am planning on buying some rims tomorrow and need to know if I will need a fender roll or not. Thanks for the help.
I have a 2005 G35 Sedan 6MT
Wheel in question is a: 18 x 9.5, with a +35mm offset
The tire will be a 275/35/18.
