Hey Guys,
Waiting for my Work VS-XX and trying to decide what size/tire to get to slap em on the rims.
Got a 04 G35 Coupe 6MT w/ Brembos.
Fronts - WORK VSXX 20x9.5 +24mm T Disk
Rears - WORK VSXX 20x10.5 +18mm A Disk
1. I was thinking the Hankook V12 evo but I was gonna wait for reviews for the Hankook V12 evo2 as their is suppose to be some improvements from the previous set. I was told to expect reviews by the end of this month.
2. I can't really decide on tire sizes - called the guy from tire rack and talked to a couple of people on the forum and I'm getting a feeling that 245/30/20 and 275/30/20 is usually what people go with if they don't want too much of a stretch/aren't running super aggressive rims (rolling my fenders). I was recommended by the dealer to run 255/30/20 and 285/30/20 with these rim widths but tire rack said those were outside of their recommendations. Anybody have experience in running one size vs. the other (rubbing, etc..)
3. I know rims are weak offsets but I don't care, trying to maintain driveability up here in Thunder Bay (Canada) the roads are absolutely terrible.
4. Getting coilovers, front/rear camber kits to make everything right. Going for a slight drop to tighten up the wheel gap (1" - 2" ).
Thanks guys.

Im probably going with black kics r40 or black muteki sr48.
But I did see this color that might look good, so to all my color matching experts which would look better black or this burning blue (I dont have an opinion yet)

2003 G35 Sedan 6MT
Moderate drop- authentic nismo susupension
19x8.5 25ET squared
I want to run at least a 245 40 R 19
I want to pick a set up/wheels that will work with my sedan, moderate drop mentioned above, and ZERO rubbing.
Is it possible with the items stated above?
Please help guys, Im trying to pull the trigger on this stuff asap.

Alright, I'm on the home stretch of my deployment and I'm looking to buy some wheels and tires as soon as i get back for my '06 G35 Coupe.
Im wondering, what kind of offset should i be looking for in the wheels i want to buy?
and how does backspace play into this as well?
the wheels im leaning towards the most are 18x9.5 with a 30 mm offset, with a backspace of 6.375"... not too sure what this means either.
the G is my daily driver and Im also new to all this offset and backspace stuff.
Thanks in advance.

What would be the max width and height for the front tires without getting into rubbing issue if I want to run it on 18" wheels?
I have the stock Rays 19s staggered setup on my '05 coupe and I would like to get a non-staggered 18" set for it. I'm trying to get as wide as possible on stock suspension height without having rubbing. I don't have rolled fender either.

Question: What are my offests!?!

I think my calculations are off... this is what I posted on my350z.
I think when i added two inches to the inside, I only need to calculate moving the center over ONE inch not two????!?!??!?!
So I believe after more thought that the wheel specs on the rear are:
Stock is +30, adding 2 inches or 25.4 x 2 = 58.4mm to the inside. That moves the Center over 25.4 inches making the higher offset of 50.5 from the center to outter edge...then leaves 60.8 to the inside..I added a 20mm spacer to increase the rim hub thickness to (stock 30 + 20mm) is 50mm from the mounting surface of the rim to the outer edge. The remaining portion (mounting surgace to inside is 60.8?? I guess LMFAO. Took two years now Im ready to sell these and work up a set of GTR 20s, any trades or buyers. lol?
confused...but it works..lol

Stock i think is +30, adding 2 inches or 25.4 x 2 = 58.4mm to the inside.
higher offset
So I guess that makes it a +88.4
Then I added a 25mm spacers, pulling it out.
lower offest
making it a +63.4-ish???????
19X10F +30 305/30/19
19x12R + 63 ish 345/35/19
