I do not want to roll fenders, etc...

Thanks

I don't have a sedan but I'm pretty sure that should be fine.

Question, 2006 x sedan, I'm looking at a set of 20" 9.5 + 35 all the way around. My main concern is rubbing in the front with these rims. The car is bone stock when it comes to suspension. Also any recommendations for tire size? Thanks!

19 inch Rays

Hi there, a couple of days ago I hit a nasty pothole that bent both of my passenger side 20's. Expensive and stupid mistake. One that couldn't be avoided. So I went on Craigslist and found some Rays 19 inch. I was all exited to get em home I didnt realize that all 4 rims were rears 19x8.5 33mm. Do you know if i can still run these on a 04 coupe with bembros without causing damage to the front. Also what size tires you recommend for the front. Being that they are all rears around.Im not sure if i can use 225/40 in front. Any help would be appreciated.

20x9 +20 & 20x10.5 +15 245/30, 275/30 ok to run on a stock height coupe? May lower an inch down the road but won't slam.

Don't really want to run negative camber or modify the fenders.

Wanted go run it by the experts before I pull the trigger.

Thanks,
Ron

OEM tire sizes for the Rays are 225/45 and 245/45 I believe but I am not 100% sure.

Okay so running 225/40 front and 245/40 rear with 19 OEM Rays on my 03 coupe won't throw off the vdc or mess with the ecu? I was shopping around for tires at discounttires and their plus 1 suggestion for putting 19" wheels on my car was 255/35 Front and 245/40 rear. I'm so confused on which tires to buy could someone please enlighten me. Thank you

There are several different options you can go with. Use the "...tire/rim calculator" link towards the top of the page, any combination that has less than a 3% difference between the front and rear will work. 225/40 - 245/40 should work. I used a 245/35 - 255/35 combo when I had the Rays.

18" stock wheels (F & R same?)

Hi,

I searched the forum and found that the stock 2004 coupe wheels are 18x8 with a +30mm offset. So, it sounds like the wheels are exactly the same whether you are talking fronts or rears. I saw another post where a guy mentioned that the wheels were labeled "F" and "R" and was wondering if you could rotate the wheels/tires front and rear. I never saw a response to that question. Does anyone know?
Bottom line... If I put 245/45/18s on both the front and rear, can I rotate the tires front to rear with no problems?

Thanks!

I would say yes. However, my experience is with the 19" wheels. There is one bolt on each front hub that prevented the rear wheels from being installed on the front. This was because the rear wheels had less of a gap molded into them. That bolt can easily be removed though which would allow the wheels to be swapped. I would imagine the 18' wheels are the same since the tires came staggered on all coupes.

I don't think coupes with 18" wheels as standard (non-sport models) don't have the rear bolt. The 19" Rays are the only set of OEM wheels that are staggered so that might be the reason sport models with Rays have that bolt (not 100% sure on that but that's my assumption). My '06 coupe non-sport doesn't have that bolt in the front.

Interesting. I figured it would be on all models since the tires always came staggered, essentially a way to prevent mechanics from accidentally putting the wider tires up front. Guess not though.
