I have the Axis penta and when I switch to my stock 19 or even winter 17 I notice a huge difference. So much that I'm going to sell my 20 and get a better quality 19. Its like all the power upgrades I do go to waste because the 20's rob all the power because they are so damn heavy. The car feels so slugish. Just do it right the first time and pay more for some quality wheels.

20's WILL NOT Slow you down.

Proper selection of diameter will make the car ride as close to stock as possible in the sense of speed.

What will slow you down:

WEIGHT!

Added weight will make your engine work harder (really your foot). Which in turn means your transmission will be taking a beating.

In other words be ready to have to replace a transmission sooner than expected.

For those whom can find a reason to debate the 20s... Put a set of carbon fiber wheels on your car and you'll see that 20's wont make a difference. At the end of the day, it's all about weight. you can have 30 inch wheels, or 15 inch lead filled wheels; WEIGHT will either make you or break you.

Of course the lighter a product is the more expensive it will get (with quality).

Funny enough on Frenzy a member has a quote:

fast+cheap=not reliable
cheap+reliable=not fast
fast+reliable=not cheap

That is mostly used in describing going FI, but I guess if you squint a bit it has some relevance for this subject.

And to the OP, it all depends on what you want the car to be. Looks vs performance, along with most mods for this car it is all about balance and what you are looking for.
