I got these tires from ebay...2 Generals 225/35/19's...Turned out they had more damage than the seller told me & I ended up getting a refund + the tires. I was wondering if I could actually use these. Damage does look minor & it would just be a quick fix for a month or two.

your 2nd picture, that gash could cause the bead/seal to break upon light impact or never 100% seal.

dont know where exactly is the 1st picture at, you might be able to roll the dice with that.


But in the end its your safety here. that "temp fix for a couple months" could cause an accident or your life.

the first pic is definitely serious since it's a gash on the sidewall. The second pic by the bead, in my opinion, is not all that bad since the tire seals further up from where the rip is. The bead should still seal...but maybe not with a stretched setup.

 

I would personally just return the tire and look at other option on ebay for near mint tires. Look at some of the available tires on this ebay page. I picked up a single tire when I need it to match a backup I had in my garage.
