18" rim - next larger tire sizes

Hello everyone,

I did a search, but didn't find the answer.

I was wondering what the next 2 size(s) tires that a 6mt coupe could handle larger than the standard tires on the 18" rims.

Stock are:

225 45 18 (F)
245 45 18 (R)

With the next size(s), which one would you need to buy wider 18" rims?

Thanks.

You can run a 245/40-18 on the front, with the stock rims. I don't know of anyone that runs anything bigger than that on the front.

The backs can get dicey. I know some people are running 255/40-18 on the stock rims, but those are slightly smaller in overall rolling circumference than stock. 275/40-18 is closest to stock, but you need at least a 9" wide rim for that. (9.5" is optimum for that size tire)

Are you just trying to get a wider tire look? If so, just get the stock size in
the GS-D3's or S03's. they come out about 20mm wider than their widths.

The pilots are narrow tires.

I would like to get 18" rims with the largest tire (front and back) possible, so I would like to know what size rims I would need. Thanks.

What is the STOCK offset? or otherway of saying Standard offset? Original offset? For the COUPE.

You can run 245/40/18 in front and 255/45/18 in back. You'll keep the stagger, reduce the understeer, and have a better handling automobile.
