? for those with brembo brakes
As most of you know, when you got your g when it was new, the brembo brakes were really responsive and sensitive. As they wore down, the sensitivity got less and less. When i got the pads changed, i was expecting that nice sensitive braking power to come back, but instead, it still felt as if i never changed the pads...it still felt the same. My question is, are my brakes the only ones that are like this or are all of your cars with brembos like this? Do i just have to get them adjusted somehow? I miss the immediate stopping power the brembos had when they were new...

Hey, a question to you, when you changed your pads, did you have the bigger wheels on? If so then thats the reason. You went to a bigger wheels so stopping is a little bit not as responsive. I can account for that because i cheanged my pads before i put my wheels on, and it was much more responsive. then i put my wheels on 250 miles later and the responsiveness went down.

I'm pretty sure i changed them when i had my stock wheels on, and it was still crappy. As for the exhaust noise, its pretty quiet when the car is still cold. My car was parked out there for awhile. If i let my car fully warm up, then it wouldve been louder. It could also be the fact that i wasnt really pushing on the gas pedal much...with the cops there and all.
I guess you are overall used to the bite of the stock pads. In my experience I never felt a fade even through many many many canyon runs in the southern california region. I switched out my pads after a year and had around a 3/4th cm of pad left! Perhaps you need to bleed your lines, even though it's a bit too soon...?
I wanted a stronger bite with less wear, so I switched to Hawk HPS pads. Firmer and bites harder than the stock 'luxury' pads. Besides, 99% of dust eliminated. Two years running and works like a charm.

coldfusion I know what your talking about. Don't take it the wrong way, but "your trippin"! The whole thing your feeling with the brakes is called "adaptation". Your used to how the car handles now. It's much like power, you'll see people on here with turbo saying their car is slow now and they need more power. It's because their body/mind is used to the torque now and their a bit numb to it.
The exhaust note is going to change with the surrounding tempature. I'm not a scientist, but i think it has something to do with molecules and sound vibration. Now that it's getting close to summer here in northern CA and it's a lot warmer, the stock exhaust note is deeper.

If I read you right your travel is back to normal, but overall the brakes still seems a bit "spongy." That being the case I'd guess that maybe you might have a problem with your master cylinder, possibly the brake fluid has absorbed a bit too much moisture or the fluid has boiled before. Of these my guess would be for the last two before the master cylinder failure. It would seem that G352NV is kind of looking at the brake fluid too since 15k for a master cylinder death is very quick.
Brake fluid loves moisture. If it takes in too much moisture the water boils when the brakes work hard. The gases make the brakes feel spongy.
I suggest you talk to your dealer about this, or just have someone replace the brake fluid and bleed the brakes (if it doesn't cost too much) and see if this helps.
