Ordered my snow tires

Hey guys, I'm pumped, I just ordered my snow tires off of tirerack today. 225/45/18 245/45/18 Dunlop Winter Sport M3s. Hopefully they work well, I'll keep you guys updated. If anyone else is interested, they are running a special on those tires right now. 178 each for the front, 215 for the rear.

Neal

Awesome man! I just ordered mine last night same exact tires and sizes. I should be getting them next Monday. Did you buy wheels to go with them or will you be using your current ones? I purchased the ASA JH3's..they look similar to the OEM 18s and were about $150 each.

it only costs 10 bucks at walmart for lifetime mount rotation (doesnt apply to us) alignment etc. i think i will just stick with my oems. next summer, i may upgrade to 19s or maybe i'll just stick with 18s. im not sure right now, depends on my financial situation haha.

neal

btw, how much snow do you usually encounter?

I purchased the same tires a month ago. I put them on last week, it's suppost to snow here on Thanksgiving i'll test them out then. They ride so much nicer than my 19" with continential tires, but they are not as sticky. They spin fairly easily which concerns me when there will be snow on the ground.
bty neal: you should have gone with a skinner rear, if you plan on driving a lot in the snow. Wider is not better.

I didn't think of that. I wonder why it would mess with your drivetrain? I run wider summer tires hope that won't affect anything.

Hey man mine came in last night also..same exact tires..they look great. I can't wait to test them out in the snow. I'll be installing them sometime next week. The treads on the Dunlops are very deep.
