Enjoy this report.
I'm the 1st to admit rolling with these $450, G350 coilovers on this forum, I think.

Maybe someone else has them but I'll take the "sword" for being truthful about it.

Considering how cheap they are, that'll be the judgement of their longevity. We'll see.

Are these the same as the MDU coilovers that you have an option to go with a 'true' coilover setup with in the rear? Nice review btw

"True" yes, the rear spring, height adjustment collar and locking collar can be mounted on the shock tube as a 2nd arrangement or "truecoilover". The lower control arm assembly would then be without spring in the "spring bucket" and function only as a structural lever. That could be further modified with aftermarket lighter weight control arm.

I do not see any problem doing either OEM or truecoilover assembly on the G35 sedan.

As to the working purpose the compression/rebound loading points on the rear axle/wheel hub assembly are the same close coupled location in either arrangement.

As to noise isolation.

In truecoilover, with the spring on top of the shock and 3 inches away from the high (head/ear level) backrest of the seat passenger compartment this could be a resonant issue that could be heard as unwanted noise in certain driving conditions.

It is my guess that the OEM spring bucket arrangement by design moves the rear spring below the trunk floor and an additional 5" further away from the back seat (butt level) bench.

With this kit you have your choice.

I will be buying a set of these April 1

How long did the shipping take? I went looking back through the thread and couldn't find the post where you had said how long they took to arrive.

Do you think a different company's aftermarket spring in the rear would help out? I'm anxious to see your thoughts on the rear when set to a sitter dampening rate. I've read several reviews from suspension engineers having put adjustable shocks on a shock dyno, only to show that the adjustability wasn't worth a flying poo..
