Help with dash board rattling

Hi guys I was driving on the highway today and I've noticed a rattling noise at the dashboard only when my speedometer reaches 70 and up. Have anyone ever experience the same situation. If so, can I get some information on how to repair the problem. Thanks.

I just got new tires 2 weeks ago and I had it balanced and a wheel alignment. I'm pretty sure it's not comming from the tires. I hear it more from the dashboard. It's more like a ticking sound every time I'm traveling at about 70mph. Under 70 mph is fine, I don't hear the ticking noise. Thanks.

I had the same problem - but it was rpm dependent not so much speed dependent...

Under heavy acceleration (1st-3rd gear) in high rmp in would tick - coming from the gauge cluster (speedo/tach area)...

I haven't really noticed it lately - but haven't driven it much either... I'm not sure if it went away or not

Did you try to fix it or did you just left it? At what rpm did you hear the ticking? I think mine is also has something to do with the rpm. When I reach 70mph that's when I start to hear a ticking noise at dashboard. Do you think I should leave it or take it to the dealership? Thanks.

I was never able to determine exactly where it was coming from... fix was/is on the "to do" list... but now that I think about it I don't think it has been happening the last few times I drove the car.

As for rpm, probably around 4-5K in 1st through 3rd gears - while under heavy acceleration... it would go away when I modulate the throttle and decelerate. It was definitely throttle or rmp induced... going past 5K would make it worse so I usually let off throttle when it starts.

Initially it would only happen within first 15 minutes (or so) - after having the car warm up to normal operating temps. But then it seemed to happen well after that.

I don't know what to make of it yet... if it continues, eventually I will isolate and resolve and update here.

Has anyone else experience this same problem regarding rattling or ticking noise by the glove compartment when their speedometer hits around 70mph? Hopefully I can get more opinions and solve this problem. Thanks all.

I have the same exact problem. It's a weird noise and cannot pinpoint it to anywhere but the glove box, floor, or door panel while driving.
