Sluggish G?

So I test drove an '06 6mt coupe that I'm considering buying, but for some reason it just didn't feel quite as quick as the other G's that I have driven. Other than that it's in perfect shape, flawless inside and out and it has maintenance records of oil changes at the Infiniti dealership every 3-5k all the way back to 2006. Is there anything that could cause the car to lose power? Everything ran great, the motor was smooth and didn't make any unusual noises, it's just wasn't as quick as the other G's I test drove, and this one is so mint I'm really interested in it, any ideas?

A bad knock sensor will make one run sluggish and will not throw a check engine light. It will store a code though.

What's the mileage on this bad boy. It probably just needs some touch up maintenance (Plugs, filter, oil change, fluids) and a nice smack on the ***.

How many miles are on it? If the spark plugs are worn, it will really kill the power.

99,000 miles, and he's trying to get 14 for it. It really is in fantastic shape and has every single option, but I still think that's too much for a 100k car. I was very unimpressed with the power though, my dad drove it as well and felt the same way. I test drove another G later that day and the first thing it did was scoot the back end around on me on the way out of the dealership. The first one honestly didn't feel much faster than my 2000 Eclipse GT... that car makes maybe 160hp at the wheels, maybe...

Probably spark plugs because Nissan says 105k for those but most know they don't last anywhere near that.

Plugs for sure. You said it was dealer maintained so it means they follow the book and haven't changed it.

Yeah, I bet it has the original plugs.

Different car, but our M5 gains about 40hp (out of 500) when changing the plugs at the factory interval of 37,500. Now, a G is 3 times the duration of that. Imagine if it lost 40hp (out of about 270). Imagine how slow it would feel. My 270rwhp G feels slow to me lol

Wow? Can it really be that extreme? I had no idea. I'm going to go drive another one tomorrow, it's cheaper with less miles so hopefully everything will be right on it and I'll make him an offer, otherwise I guess I'll look into the one I thought was a little slow. I'm not sure this guy is going to replace the plugs and reset the ECU all because I tell him I think he should though.
