Temperatures were held constant. Oil temps are not monitored or measured by the ECU. However, at the start of each dyno pull, the engine coolant temps were controled to 192'F (+/-2'F).
If the engine was too cool the engine would be reved untill the coolant temperature increased to 192'F and then the pull was started.
If the engine was too warm the cabins air heater would be turned on high untill the coolant temperature fell to 192'F and the pull was started.
Everybody who does a dyno should monitor and control engine coolant temp tightly.

Been trying to PM Tony all night. Just received my 3/8" spacer for the G35 Coupe with no install instructions. Tony said he was sending .PDF instructions to people. I want to put this in tomorrow but haven't been able to reach Tony via PM. Anyone have the PDF instructions they can email me. Please PM me...

I installed my 1/2" spacer yesterday and I have noticed quite a few differences. For starters it does work for the non believers. I noticed power increase throughout the power band. Since I have a AT tranny & use the MM mode; it shifts a lot smoother. I also have the nismo cai installed which now I hear it growl at 2500 rpm where as before the spacer was installed; I would hear it above 4000 rpm. The CAI is also a lot louder then before. I also noticed that my exhaust is now considerably louder then before and sounds deeper. So all I can say is good work Tony on the mod and it’s worth every penny.
BTW ...I have to get my butt dyno recalibrated to get a true hp gain... seriously though I will get my car on a dyno soon enough to see how much Hp was gained from the mod.

WOW - Great Customer Service!!! I sent a pm to Tony (Hydrazine) last night on my Motordyne XL 3/8" Spacer install issues. He got back to me within an hour with some possible solutions and suggestions to my install challenges. I worked on it again this morning with success. The product quality is first rate and customer service is even better!!!
I'm very pleased with the spacer's performance. My car is building rpm's faster and really kicks in at 4000 to 5000 rpm's. Highly recommended!!!

And of course tightening evertything back down.
I got to open up a little that morning. The z-tube does make the louder growl noise as everyone said. Since my car only has 1400 miles on it, its was hard to tell how big of a difference at first. Now here's the funny part - on Sunday, in the nasty rainy weather, I had to gun it to get past some idiots - right when the car hit 4000 - it was like a slingshot! It opened up and took off. So that upper low to midrange is improved. I'm not smart enough to do some "butt dyno" but there is a difference.
And I will most likely do the ECU reset later this week after driving her a little harder this week to see if that really helps.
Here is a question for anyone else that has done the install - I've had to retighten the 6 center bolts a couple times after driving it. Has anyone else had that issue? Seems like it's ok now. Every time I got done driving the car this weekend, I opened the hood and checked for any leaks, and it looks perfect. I'll post more when I can give more driving experience.
Thanks again Tony for all your help.

Robbdogg,
I noticed the same thing. I torqued all install bolts to 61 inch pounds as per ESM. Went out and did some spirited driving on Saturday. On Sunday iI rechecked the torque on all the mounting bolts and had to retighten the 6 center bolts to the proper torque spec. All other bolts were fine. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with those little sticky spacer gaskets used to stick the spacers to the posts...

I havn't noticed it on mine but a re-snug check on the 6 center bolts is a prudent thing to do. In fact, I will note this in the the installation manual as a post installation procedure.
Thanks,
Tony
